What is the difference between Aqua effect and Ecolo Expander II products, and which is better?

Cheers!

Ecolo Expander expands your sponge, like speedglue but permanently. It is supposed to be a speedglue substitute, I think of it as a way to make your own Tensor-type rubbers, which you can then speedglue more lightly if you want. Don't get the first version, which got poor reviews, but get the II version which has worked well for me as long as I keep it off the topsheet.

Juic's Aqua Effect I haven't tried, but I think its so you can glue your rubbers to the blade using non-volatile VOC's to be ready for an eventual glue ban. It doesn't have any speedglue effect to my knowledge. I'll just keep using plain old rubber cement to glue my rubber until the ban is in place.

And if you don't want to buy aqua effect when th eVOC ban rolls around, they do make rubber cement with ammonia as the solvent. (ammonia = not organic)

Thank you!

Sounds like only the EEII is worthwhile, and would presumably survice the speed glue ban since it's not a glue and contains no volatile substances?

Cheers!
