i want to switch from my blsa carbo x5 to a more powerfull one.tried to find reviews on smironov carbon.but it seems that the blde is not popular.
so i am looking for reviews of some more blades. vsg1000,vsg twist IV,galaxy W4,dawei cristal series. i like light blades, using sriver on both side(40 degree) but thinking of switching to sprungfeder A2(fh) and sprungfeder A(bh) any comment/help plz. thanx |

Note Sprungfeder A-2 is not currently ITTF approved.

W4 isn't too bad but not as good as w1. For the extra money you'd probably be a lot happier with the 1. I have a crystal carbon in shake and one in pen I got to check them out. I think I got too fast a model though. I meant to get a slower one, at least in the shake. |

Some of the Dawei crystal carbons are quite slow, from memory the ST-1 and ST-2 are the slowest. The quality is not as good as Dawei's top blades, but they are a lot cheaper...

I would put w4 as offensive, not plus. Ittf is done with dawei...that's been fixed. I'm not sure about that one rubber, but there's a lot of rubbers out there with that 388a-X topsheet. Surely one of them is on the list. Navigator, sprung, g3, etc. As for blades, the ittf approved list for blades is meaningless. Sprung was ok, but the g3 and navigator versions are definately upgrades. Unles you're getting the regular sprung a lot cheaper, go for one of those two. |

i just could not make myself sure to buy anything.i can get vsg1000+sprung g3a+ sprung g3a2 at $60 to $65 including shipping.but there are so many reviews on galaxy saying they are really good for all out topspin attackers.
i can also get a good galaxy stuff within the price range. so what should i do? balsa carbo is good but it breaks so frequently and it is not cheap for sure. |

I'm pretty sure that teh vsg series is made by some chinese company...probably sunflex. I just can't imagine them making that handle in japan.

Yes Cole you're right the VSG blades are made in China. The sprung g3a2 uses the 388A-2 topsheet which is not approved, so this would not be legal. Galaxy make so many different blades, you can't categorise them all in one bucket. The have a blade for pretty much every style, and I agree with Cole that their top blades are of very good quality... |

What do you think if we do an "international" equipment chart with votes for blade and rubbers expecially for chinese goods, to help players choosing? Rubbers: Speed, Spin, Hardness, Reactivity, Kind of play, defects Blades: Speed, Rigidity, Kind of play, defects I think control is very difficult to understand. We can start brand by brand, and choose the fastest, the most spinny, the most reactive as a base... very hard work but I need to do for my website, and we can do the same for every our websites... any ideas? |

A few questions, hopefully Cole (or somebody else) can answer them...
Do you know much about the Galaxy T-8? How is it compared to the LKT Will Power in terms of speed, feel, and control? Also, how do these two compare to the Iolite, which I've been using for a couple of years now? I love my Iolite (even more than my Kreanga Carbon), but I keep bashing them against the edge of the table from time to time, and they're getting mangled - need a cheap alternative! |
