Just go to ITTF website and click on their video section.  Plenty to watch.

I thought it was weird that 2 players got injured halfway through the first round...maybe it's an issue with their floor? Don't know if I've ever seen multiple people go down form injury...

Go Li Jiawei! Clap

Just one question: Li Jiawei touched the ball with her playing hand so point is awarded to Wang Yuegu. I thought that it is allowed to touch the ball with your playing hand if it is some kind of continuous stroke, or if ball touches rubber and finger at the same time? Or not?

I think under no circumstances can it touch the playing hand. Also, Li Jiawei is really off her game, seemingly no fight in her at all, she didn't even really seem to want to be there.

You are now (since Sep 2010) allowed to touch the ball 2, 3 or 57 times (but of course only with your blade or above the wrist part of your playing hand) as long as you do not do that "deliberately" whatever that means - basically if it is one continuous stroke.

I am not sure what happened with Li Jiawei as I haven't seen the match...

Jim T, you don;t want to see the match. Li wasn't even running down most balls. Wang played really well, but a lethargic Li made it a pretty simple win.
