I've just got a new TSP Spectol but have noticed that there is quite a wide strip with no pimples at the bottom of the rubber (with the pimples starting a bit further up compared with other short pip rubbers). To help my grip I'd prefer to have the pimples starting lower - would it be legal if I cut a 1cm strip under the logo, as shown in the attached picture (blue line)? It would still leave the brand, model and logo visible.  Thank you very much |

So long as all the ITTF identifiers are visible I believe you can cut.

Just wondering > How does having 'pimples' lower help your grip ? I know another reason for having the pimples lower, but I will address that after you reply

No problems , just make sure the rubber will still fit the blade if a cm is taken off the bottom

I believe the reason the manufacturer makes the wide strip is so that your finger will not be resting on the pimples. As long as you do not feel uncomfortable gripping onto the pimples go ahead and cut the strip off. |

What you have pictured is completely legal. I regularly make this cut with my inverted rubbers.
