This is a addendum to a past thread on glues and this neoprene based glue was mentioned as a possible alternative. It can work but it is not a good alternative to water based table tennis glue. Main issue is it is harder to remove from the blade than regular latex glue. You will need one of those natural rubber eraser blocks to clean up the glue. The other issue is if the sponge already has a layer of latex glue left over, it will not adhere to the sponge at all. On the other hand, the Renia Aqualim Silicone flat brush works well enough that I will probably keep using it as it is reusable with easy clean up and it does not absorb glue like sponges so I do not have to use so much glue. It may not spread the glue as evenly as using sponge but it works well enough. I may try using some sort of brush next time to see if that may be a middle ground.
