It seems so many people are salty that they can't come close to achieving top level performance (international level) that the reality check of 23-2600s (a level high enough that they probably won't ever achieve either) not actually being that good on a relative scale is a pill too hard to swallow.

So, I hear rumblings that Xiom won't the release the Hyper in Europe or America; only in Asia. Too bad if thats true. At least I can confirm that almost all the shops which had the option for pre-order have deleted all information regarding the Hyper...Unhappy

It's definitely available in Australia, so I doubt they would restrict it in USA.

I think Xiom only said that it will not be available in Europe only. So US and all other places will have it.

OK, so the Hyper won't be available in Europe only and Xiom probably won't elaborate on why this decision was made. Ordering from other places like Japan or the States wouldn't make much sense from a purely economical side for someone from Europe because of the shipping costs and custom fees. One might as well buy a sheet of Dignics.
Maybe the release of the Hyper did not create enough buzz in Europe (so far). On the other hand Xiom has become quite popular in Europe and as of right now I believe that Europe is still a bigger tt market compared to Australia or the States. So from that point of view - nothing against Australia or the States - it would acutually make more sense to exclude Australia and the States instead of Europe from distribution, or is Xiom really that big and important in those places?

i have tried the 2.1mm version of the Omega 7 Hyper and I have better control for this rubber. This is also lighter at 71 grams (uncut) weight compared to the max version which is at 79 grams (uncut) weight. The speed is lesser but it is now more controllable. I would suggest to use the Hyper 2.1mm for most players. The spin however is monstrous because the topsheet is very grippy and now with a thinner sponge, you can perform slow and spinny loops better than the max version if you are at a lower level. The speed is still very fast somewhat in the level of MXP 50 degrees.

Nope, you are incorrect. It is not directly available in Europe as what Xiom told me. I am speculating on the reason why they are not releasing the Hyper in Europe as I think they are pushing the Omega 7 Tour more.I have checked the catalogue of Xiom and the O7T is slightly more expensive than Hyper.

How would you compare the control aspects between MXP50 and the Hyper, specifically as it relates to spin sensitivity?

O7Hyper is readily available at:

Allegedly available here, although I have not heard about this web-shop before:

Also, it will available at Vladi Samsonov's web-store soon:

Wait just a few days more, it's still new.

As what i have said it is not directly available in europe unless they got it from another store. I have beentalking to Xiom for quite a while now and what you know about their products and distribution is the only one you see online. I communicate with their marketing executives directly and i know Hyper will not be sold directly in Europe like Clipper Rosewood being sold outside in China unless they got itfrom another Tibhar dealer outside Europe. I would love people in Europe to have access to Hyper because it is an awesome rubber but Xiom already said they will not distribute it directly unless they change their minds.

Its funny, Xiom Vega X has been 'out of stock' in tabletennis11 site over last few weeks. Kind of eager to try one on forehand.

I really liked Rakza 7 when I first started playing, then felt Vega Pro as a good 'upgrade' as it felt firmer and slightly faster and more spin on full swings.  This Vega X has that similar firmer feel and probably just a notch or two faster than the Vega Pro on hard shots and a touch more spin on loops.  However, Vega Pro will feel easier to access spin and a bit easier to use overall.

I first tried Vega X on BH with Long 5x and did not like it compared to Rhyzer 50 Pro.  It seemed more sensitive to spin, more difficult in countering strong heavy loops.  I couldn't quite get used to it on BH.  I would prefer Rhyzer 50 Pro or T05, but take it all with a grain of salt since I really only used it for 3 hrs on the BH.

On FH it was much nicer, but certainly nothing special.  It's not some magical rubber that has the control of a Vega Pro but the speed of T05.  It is slower and less spinny than T05 but also less bouncy so short game might be a bit better.  Counterlooping with T05 and most 50 degree+ rubbers will perform much better.

Vega X vs Andro Hexer powergrip--  Powergrip has a softer topsheet and i would say is easier to use overall, easier to access spin and feels nicer on BH.  Vega X has a faster top end speed and more spin on big loops and with firmer topsheet feels nice on shortgame however is more sensitive to incoming spin on passive blocking.

Overall a decent rubber considering the price but it is nothing to really write home about.  If you like Vega Pro and looking for a little bump in speed/spin, but don't like the speed and spin (or price) of T05, MXP or 50 degree rubbers then this might fit well.

tt-japan is selling for $50 each for O7H.  About $10 to ship so you get to about $55 per rubber, less if you buy more.  They have 2.1mm as well as max.
