Look at the sponge. The topsheet is going to tell us squat. Only thing i can see is, one is dirtier than the other.

I thought all the topsheets were the same and the only difference between national and commercial is the sponge, btw never used it or seen it so this is just what I have heard

Apparently a friend of mine just received 3 sheets of the national h3 with the blue sponge sent to him by his uncle. The topsheet has a nittaku inprinted on it, with the blue sponge and the national stamp  in chinese on it. I did not believe but until i found out that his uncle is zhi shi hao who is the current chinese women team headcoach. He told me  that his uncle told him that this is the best current version which is used by the mens team by players by wang hao, chen qi, qiu yike, ma long etc.

I was told that i could purchase the national h3 with blue sponge but with the special DHS topsheet rather than the special nittaku topsheets for max 20aud. The version which is made by nittaku costs nearly 70 aud. Now thats a big difference in the price....

My friend has just come back from Shanghai and he bought me 2 sheets of H3 which claim to be national h3.  The outlook is exactly the same as normal H3 (orange sponge and top sheet is DHS) but there is a serial number and a DHS chop at the back of the rubber.

From what rossicarbon described, i am now wondering whether the sheets i got from my friend in Shanghai are the actual National H3 rubbers or not ?

There are certainly national versions without the blue sponge and with DHS topsheet instead of Nittaku.

Ignore the autographs, does your sponge have the markings like that in the bottom right corner?

The only national dhs #22/20 sponges that I've seen were 2.15

DHS makes a bunch of varying grades. They may sell some of the better makes as national. Maybe what you buy as "national" is actually better than the normal h3. But I guarantee you it didn't really come from the national team. They don't get that much.

DHS themselves also told me because these rubbers are more expensive and in high demand, there are a lot of fakes copies around.

I dont know if mine are really National or not but they are faster and lighter than the commercial ones I had.  They just seemed to play better but it could all be in my mind and they are going strong for about a year.

The special version of SWORD KING as HK told me that they will be using SWORD KING for next year international competitions. THis brand will be taking over the REACTOR TORNADO. The sword king is available on the market but as COLE had mentioned that it is not good. I have not seen the market version, all i got was the same testing batch for HK.

If someone wants a laugh, I'll sell them my sword rubber for $5.  That's about what its' worth.

You have any used 729 wang nan or cream on any custom made sponge. I'd love to try something like that to see what all the fuss about wang nan topsheet.

I hope so too. As the feedbackof the players after one year of competitions that reactor did not perform what is expected.
