Because penhold Viscaria's handle is too thin for my hand, I bandage the handle to absorb sweat and make the handle a bit thicker. I also added a little bit of wood epoxy to the right shoulder of the handle to avoid grip slippage. ![]() A clubmate went much further than me. His modifications effectively creates a much much better leverage with his blade. ![]() Other known penhold modifications have also been discussed: https://mytabletennis.net/forum/penhold-combo-jpen-cpen-handle_topic6342_page2.html He Zhi Wen's blade has a hole to anchor his index finger: https://mytabletennis.net/forum/single-sided-cpen_topic90592.html Chime in with your ideas. Thank you. |

There's a product called 直板涨分宝 which is like an attachment that protrudes out like Jpen and allows you to have a more solid grip. It's apparently quite popular in China.

Thank you. I've also seen pictures of Jiang Jialiang's (江嘉良) 順風 Sheng Fung blade (as an exhibit in ITTF museum) with modification similar to this 直板涨分宝 to anchor his index finger.

David Zhuang's racket. His friend custom makes the attachment. Also note that although this is David Z's paddle, those aren't his fingers but my soon-to-break 1000 practice partner's.

Apologies in advance and respectfully- Your friend’s racket (2nd picture) is very Frankenstein looking.
It looks like there’s a sheet of wood underneath the racket’s handle. It’s confusing to me as I’m not sure how the racket is held as a result. Any chance of providing any pictures with it being held and used in play? Thanks

FH is black. The grip is very high. ![]() This increases the leverage and thus spin generation. In the back, middle finger goes around the two supporting pieces of wood. Almost the entire backside rubber can be used. ![]() |

Here is a picture of (江嘉良) Jiang Jialiang's blade.
![]() Notice the modification/area around the shoulder (虎£). I borrow this idea and modify my VIS with a piece of wine cork ![]() ![]() |

David normally uses butterfly impartial xs. I assume it's the same on this racket. |
