Note: Rubber Cement is not the answer. ;-)

To me it's all the same as that. Just varying degrees of how it's been handled. Aka heat, age, seal quality. I rarely use latex (no pun intended) but that's my impression

Why isn't rubber cement the answer?  I even glue OX LP with Elmer's without using glue sheet.

Rubber Cement works good but is nasty toxic. My lungs can't even handle a particle of dust.

I'd love to try it . . . if it were 1/2 that price. That's a bit steep for less than 2oz. Still, we're grateful for the share.

I second this. It's good stuff. I even found an old bottle, that was half dried out, added some water from the tap and it worked great. It's 8 euro in the hardware store and the bottle lasts a year easy. 

Some club put their badge and resell it.

Copydex is inexpensive, safe, VOC-free, multipurpose, effective, bonds well and holds well but is easy to peel off, since it is latex based.

It looks good, but I need to find confirmation that it's Non-VOC/Non-Toxic . . . hope it is!

Have you tried the glue I mentioned? Perhaps not.

It is a rather thick paste, our clubs have been using them for over 10 years.

We used at the most, 10% of hot water to dilute it. Never had any case of damaging wood/blades.

I have used it on my old blades for years and years. Fast drying, easy to clean from rubbers and blades.

(I am the gluer/rubber cutter) for so many members for our clubs, btw.

I glue and cut for free, so we buy that glue in gallons so the club can resell them too.

Counting the Exacto knifes alone, I already finished my 2nd box, so 200 blades x 3 or 4 rubbers roughly 600 rubbers and more  Not counting other blades I tried...

Sometimes I walk in the club people already waiting for me with their rubbers/blade for me to assemble, lol

I have tried many glue, dhs, double fish, donic, free chack, R3, finezip, tear mender.. I am sticking with this. Can't beat it, especially when you are gluing for free 

Does this have the same ammonia smell that most tt glues have? 

1. Contact gluing whereby glue is applied to both sides, and affixed once dry

2. Affix wet and keep compressed until dry

I used technique #2, but I'm hopeful to use #1 as I believe it's better if lined up perfectly.

Hey Yogi, prevent forest fires . . . don't smoke anywhere near that racket.

It is the cheapest available solvent in my place. I am sure there are other things you can use. 

Correction . . . The Creature Liquid Latex is VERY strong after it cures a week or so. I like it, but user BEWARE . . . blade sealing is not optional . . . it's a must or bust. 

PS. Toxic alternatives are not an option . . . no lighter fluid, no solvents, NO VOCs. ;-)

I just used one of the three bottles (sale and to offset shipping cost) of the Demco glue I purchased near the end of Oct 2020 on the recommendation in this thread and I am disappointed. The bottles with the date 2020/10 which I assume is the manufacturing date, looks squeezed even though they are sealed, which tells me something, probably the ammonia, had evaporated through either the plastic bottle or the seal. It does not smell as strong with ammonia compared to Copydex and the first application of the glue curdled while I was still spreading it. Second application after cleaning out the first layer was better but was still very touchy.

I do not recommend the glue as I believe ammonia evaporation has happened due to the material they are using in the bottle.

I have used it for 11 years and it's over 5 gallons over 4 clubs..

It is the same as paddle palace and revolutuon3 glue.
