According to this,

http://www.xiom-deutschland.de/download/XIOM_Belaege.pdf

Ryu Seung Min is switching to Tensor rubbers, I also read somewhere that Christian Suss will also switch.

Are there any professional players switching to Tensor?

yeah they have no need too. The only reason would be to prepare for the ban and get used to tensors...but this is dumb because 1. the ban is still like a year away, 2. there will be more advanced tensors by then.

no waldner actually uses JO waldner on both sides... in fact it doesnt say on the donic site that he uses desto, it just sort of implies it..  but it is common knowledge that he uses JO waldner on both sides.

JM saive uses revolution cor, a tensor rubber, but he glues it. people misuse the word tensor, they think it is a rubber with speed glue incorporated, but it is actually just a rubber technology. joola was the greatest source of this misconception when they came out with tango extreme, which is a tensor ruber that also has speed glue effect incorporated

Actually, The original tensors andro has (Revolution/Fire/Implus), their 3G tensors (COR series & quad series) all have some measure of built in speed glue effect. COR was specifically meant to be speedglued though - think Tango Titan and Xtend SG.

Suss uses COR as well.

Haven't see a 'real' water based glue yet, all the current glues will be banned...

New era is cheap but it's the best tension rubber i ever tried.
It has a hard sponge and a tacky surface. it gives much spin, more than any other rubber i tryed (like bryce with speed glue).
The hard sponge may cause problems for top spins against back spins, but it's fantastic for blocks and fast top-spins.
It's a rubber that gives its best when u play near the table, and counter-top-spins comes very easy.
It was many years that i wanted to stop glueing, but i coldn't find the right rubber that could give me the same feeling of speed-glue. I tryed the desto's, the thibar tensors and others... but they were all so ... "weird". New Era is different.
I use it on my FH, on a Bty Schlager Carbon OFF+
I see that noone in this forum uses it.... but did someone tried it?
U'll love it.

i use yasaka NEW ERA, and so does Ma.

Well, I meant "i wanted to stop speed-glueing", of course.

Now I use NORMAL glue just the first time i put the rubber on the blade.

Btw, for "useing SPEED glue" i mean to speed-glue the rubber everytime before u train or match.
Yasaka says that is not recomended to use speed glue for new era.

i use yasaka NEW ERA, and so does Ma.

I use yasaka FIX.
I never tried other glue, so i can't compare this to others.
Btw u have to glue just once, so i think all the Normal glue are fine.
i use yasaka NEW ERA, and so does Ma.

I don't think that Yasaka New Era is Tensor, because it does not carry this symbol ... http://jncoward.textdriven.com/tensor_technology.

I could be wrong though.

Omega 3 rubber RSM is using is a Tensor rubber, but it isnt a tensor bios one. It is meant to be speed-glued. Omega 1 & 2 are tensor bios on which you shouldnt use speedglue. Xiom recommends using adhesive sheet to put Omega 1, 2 onto blades.

That is bullsh*t! They are only saying that, to get people to buy theirs new stuff. I still believe that all the pros. are using glue! They will do it until the ban, that is after the Olympics! The last tournament with normal speed-glue!

I sertainly hope that they will come up with some waterbased glue! Because then tabletennis wont be the fastest sport in the world. And isnt that the charme and image of tabletennis?

Butterfly is selling "New Quick", the sticky sheet. I heard Xiom is about to release their own product.

i havent used the "new quick". but i have read a tester's review on it.

i don't know what kind of price you can get a sheet at. but new quick is quite dear(over 3 dollars) in korea. so i use normal double sided tapes. as i post in "double-sided tapes" thread, its very crucial to pick the right tapes. new quick is not very easy to remove as well, i heard.
