Modified rules for the playoffs:

* No restrictions on who must play, so the same 4 men could play both days
* No 5-point cap on how much a team may lead, to start the Golden Game
* Winner of the Golden Game is the winner of the match. If a team lost every game before the GG, it could still win by overcoming the 0-15 starting deficit.

Big surprises (at least to me) in the semifinals by Princeton and Texas, particularly in how they won the golden games so convincingly. Now they meet for the championship today.

Too bad the final was lopsided but congrats to Texas!

Terrific job by MLTT in the first season. I’m looking forward to even greater things in season 2.

Princeton Revolution's head coach and 2 of the team players are running a camp at Princeton Pong in late July:

Seattle got Kou Lei in a trade and had a great draft. Loaded roster. Favorites to take the West Division next season.

Yeah, as long as you don't ask why Portland was willing to trade such a good player.  Hopefully the issues won't resurface in Seattle.

Note that it wasn't an even trade between Portland and Seattle. Portland also got one of Seattle's draft picks (3rd round).

Yeah, seems like the "issues" were not a problem for Seattle as they gave up Kumar and a 3rd round pick for him.

Although, as an outsider I do wonder why Kou Lei was able to play the Joola teams in Washington DC one week but could not stay on the East Coast and play the Crossover matches in the MLTT the next weekend in South Carolina.  That weekend was a total disaster for Portland. Coach Christian was ill and didn't go. I believe they only scored 11 points out of the four matches.

That I don't know about, but I do know that he didn't want to play his seeded position the last weekend of the league matches before the playoffs when Portland was still in playoff contention.  It's not entirely clear why, but it would have helped his team quite a bit had he played as his not playing made it easier for Texas for overtake Portland.  Of course, this might have still have happened had he played.  Hopefully, he will show up and play when needed by his new team.
