From recent tournaments, China send their second string players to European pro tour (they sent very few players last year), probably saving their best players from burnt out before WTTC. They probably will send Hao Shuai, the Xus (Xin and Ke) and the Zhangs (Jike and Chao).
Wang Liqin really need to step up his game. If he doesn't he will be seeded in #5 and face one of the top three in the quarter final.. That is bad news for him.. I really want to see WLQ won one more major title before he ends his career, judging from his form, this maybe his last major tournament..

yeah, wlq is my favorite player, too, but, as i see it, he's apparently being "phased out."

anyhow, there's a 45 pt. gap btw him and boll, so if he were to win this weekend then he would probably pick up enough pts. to move up to 4th place, but that's unlikely, so he's gonna end up being the 5th seed at the end of april.

He needs a break, a lucky break, he haven't won anything in a long time, one title can give him lots of confidence..

I think WLQ is still very good, he defeted Boll recently and he had unfortunate to play against Joo Se Huyk in Kuwait, and it seems that defenders has some advantage in post speed glue era. Remember that Joo almost defeted Wang Hao in the next round. So he is still on high level and he will have his chance.

Ma Long's serve return is incredible. Any slight mistake or long ball is killed consistently. He is on his way to at least a 7 to 8 yr dominance.

woooo, I know I'm probably the last one here to finally have seen it but, WOW, the Boll-Maze match was a TT delight!!! Some of the rallies were like literally sexually attractive table tennis and I can assure you I normally much prefer girls when it comes to sexual attraction...wonderful...
