TSP spin pips chop 1.0mm

....i personally dont think he will switch to long pips....chopping with short pips is what makes him unique and so highly skilled against smart loopers that change the spin and placement.....I think he will stick to short pips throughout his carreer
Blade: Joo Se Hyuk

Tomorrow the match between Lin Gaoyuan and Muramatsu Yuto will be very interesting.
Muramatsu was the only junior player who beat a Chinese junior player (Zheng Peifeng) in the team event.

In individual event, Muramatsu has shown impressive skills.
I think Muramatsu (a great defender and also can mount an impressive attack) will give Lin a run for the money.

Lin is great against an attacker, now he will face a great defender who can also attack - hard to predict who will win.

What is your prediction of the outcome of the match?

================================================================

In girls team event, Tanioka Ayuka (a defender) lost the match to Meng Chen in the final 5th game that is a far better performance than in individual event where the Ishikawa Kasumi (#1 seed) lost to Meng Chen, 1:4.

In girls individual event, Tanioka Ayuka (a defender), while having no chance to win the event, will still be a very interesting player to watch.

Not a sure thing, my friend.  Jang Song Man from North Korea used to chop with short pips on his bh also, but switched to long pips a few years ago and actually improved his ranking.

I think murumatsu is one of the most talented prospects I have ever seen.
might even be a futuresenior wc - that would be something!

In any case we are going to have fun watching him over the coming years

I wish him all the luck, but realistically speaking, the odds are heavily against him to become world champion at the senior level.  There will always be a few who can pound the ball harder, read the spin better, and drive the ball with better angles than all others... Against such players, an equally talented defender will always be at a disadvantage with today's rules and equipment.  He will have to be clearly superior technically and physically than all others to achieve this goal.
It's possible for him to achieve either one, but nearly impossible to achieve both.

yeah ppl are already overrating Murumatsu, junior boys don't have the developed offensive consistency and power like the seniors, so they will struggle against defenders.  This is much like the Women's side (outside of the Chinese Ws), where defenders have much more success because women's game are weaker offensively than the men's.

I think he can be another Joo Se Hyuk, which is very good, but I don't see any major championships in his future.

Super match Song vs Yoshimura! and an unexpected upset made it very exciting!

In the end we see only one Chinese boy in the top 4 - a surprise I guess...

(Final game) When the point was 2:3 and Lin was leading, the referee (umpire) awarded the point to Koki on Lin's service.  (It might have cost Lin's match.)

Looks like Lin did toss the ball high enough and did not block the view of the serve, not sure that was the right call by the referee.

Any comment on that?

Amazing match. Much more exciting than many of current Men's WTTC matches.

Quentin's FH looks absurdly powerful, and his athleticism and hustle are amazing.
His BH looks pretty EuroModern as well.

Can someone please post the Song Hongyuan vs. Yoshimura Maharu quarter final to YouTube?

Incredible rallies in that match between arguably the two most athletically talented juniors in the tournament.

i rate muramatsu especially highly, not so much because of his great defense and offense, though thats great to watch, but because of his maturity and his outstanding play over the table in serve and receive and touch play over the table which is already good enough to make Wang Hao
