This acid blue inside the court is an utter torment on my eyes.
Insane choice by the ITTF to disgust most of the spectators.

Why not to employ the colour schemes from the past.?
This is my best preferred colour combination for the playing area. Cheerful coloration indeed.

Cai Meng (蔡猛), popularly nicknamed by his haters as“菜蒙”in China, which loosely translates into “The Amateurish Masquerade” for his often inaccurate and amateurish interpretation of the games which appear to be professional and knowledgeable to the uninitiated majority to mask his inadequacy. Wickedly hilarious. LOL.

For those who read Chinese, this is a famous list of his blunders during his commentary:

i have a good question, and this is for the fang bo fanboys: yan an is in the tournament and is proceeding well until meeting ma long, but where is fang bo???

i think this reinforces my point that yan an is better than fang bo at this point. YAN AN is the future of chinese table tennis

Nice try, but Fang Bo was also part of this tournament, probably playing in Xu Xin's half.

Today Fang Bo and Yan An teamed up in doubles and beat Ma Long and Zhang Jike.

Yan An AND Fang Bo are the future of Chinese table tennis. Smile

Lol, regarding Yan An vs Fang Bo,

LGL was not the best in the Chinese camp, but he had the best international results against Waldner.

In Chinese training camp, it is not important (internally) who beats who. It is external matches that count.
As there is so many reasons why internal results are different to external results
- Training together, understanding each others strengths (no longer advantage - ie Wang Hao's RPB)
- More comfortable to play Chinese style - weak against Euro style or unorthodox styles
- Used to team mates Services and tactics

So, imo its too early to say if Yan An or Fang Bo is better.
International results is the only thing that counts

Ma Long showed again he is the number one. imo the best tt player ever.
His concept and dynamics of the play are ahead. The house in the right position to execute a perfect fh. Moving and pivoting to play this way.
At the end he destroyed xx.
He is not invincivel and he can fail. xx and other players some days can play very well and very tricky.
But if Ma Long gets his dynamics and plays his playing game concept he is superior.
few chances to beat his game.

I agree the blue floor looks wierd and needs some time to get used to.

Now I am just worried IOC invited ITTV crew.
We all know the history of ITTV.....
Do you know what I am thinking?

BTW, did you guys see WH vs WLQ, one player has blue shorts, the other blue top. My whole screen was blue..... I thought it was a windows error message Tongue

Yan An is a lot better than Fang Bo, he can beat the big names already. Fang bo has the curse of winning the wjttc.

My goldfish would beat Fang Bo even if it had to use a piece of straw instead of a bat. And play left handed. Blindfolded. And it died 3 weeks ago...

I do really like Yan An. I like his play, his face (he seems like a nice/funny guy), and he's the favorite training partner of Ma Long - it seems - !
I think he made such a bad game in front of Ma Long because of the stress, the yelling massive crowd, maybe it was a bad day for him too, who knows... But I know he already beat Ma Long in closed trainings.

I don't like Fang Bo as much. He's still a great player though.

I love the play of Lin Gaoyuan but his screaming is SO annoying (he should just keep it down during matches). Too bad he didn't play on video lately.. I've seen every one of his games on youtube.

whether yan an is better or not, you're stupid for degrading Fang Bo and his accomplishments, that goes for ttTurkey as well. let me know when you guys are ACTUALLY in a position to be insulting anyone on the chinese national team.
