ITTF has launched following 6 TV channels today (March 16th, 2010) on www.ittf.com/ittv.
- TV channel "MAIN" for all the ITTF world events and the Pro Tour - TV channel "JUNIORS" for a selection of events from the Global Junior Programme - TV channel "EDUCATION & COACHING" to keep up with the news of the Programme - TV channel "DEVELOPMENT" to watch videos from the Programme - TV channel "PRESIDENT INTERVIEWS" to stay tuned with the ITTF President opinions - TV channel "WORLD OF TABLE TENNIS" to watch the ITTF highlights show and much more... Let's see if the quality will improve.
Question: If I go to the 2011 WTTC Rotterdam, and will record some matches by my own camcorder and put them online, is it legal?
I red somewhere that nobody has the rights to upload without permission
from the TMS Federation.

no, it's not legal. you would have to get permission from either tms or ittf first to do that.
i don't think they care so much if you post a highlight vid on youtube.com, but you can't post complete matches. shows that are broadcast on tv or on the internet are generally copyrighted. if so, you cannot legally copy the show or even go to the event and film it yourself, unless, of course, you have permission to do so. |
