I think the U1900 Semifinalists win either $25 or $50.

It's July 2007.
I'm not sure who "all" the people are or who and what you are referring to specifically.
The question is too vauge for me to answer.

I recall glasses in the 80's were much larger (I still have a few pair) in general and the shorts much shorter (I have some of these as well).

I think round glasses are associated with nerds, not the 80s.

Perhaps its an "Anglo American" style.
Round Eyeglasses: The Anglo American AA400 is one of the all-time classic round glasses shape. It is currently available in 7 colors, and two sizes. The black 42 eye is CURRENTLY BACKORDERED UNTIL MARCH 2008.

Round adds variety. Why does so many asians wear the black rimmed rectangular ones? In British Columbia where I'm from we have Hongers (people from Hong Kong), Mainlanders (people from mainland China) and CBC (Canadian Born Chinese). The CBC mix up the glasses frames, but the Honger and Mainlanders like 80% of them wear the same black rimmed rectangle glasses!
*obviously 80% is probably over-exaggerated and I have no idea what the actual number is but do any of you guys notice that they all wear the same glasses? It's just curious. |

They are following a "style" that I don't really like. Also I don't like those big glasses that people wear like paris hilton, etc.. do

but what makes styles cool is that they attract attention and are unique and make an individual image that can stand out.
I'd say rectangle WAS the style. But if I was in my hometown of (Richmond, BC) where the population is probably like 60-70% asian and I went to a Bubble Tea and sat down and there was like 15-20 other guys in the room with the SAME glasses as me... I would take that as an indication that the time has come to buy a new pair with a different style. (This is purely speculative though since I don't wear glasses in real life) |
