I just put a couple of layers of lemon oil on my sheets of IQ. I'll try them tomorrow. Yeah, I know it's illegal, blablabla, but everybody is doing it in my area, some people even gluing with glues that were illegal in the speed glue era, and I'm not going to be the only idiot on the tournament who doesn't. So moral issues apart, anyone tried tuning IQ? I was having trouble with my forehand, i could do spinny loops against  backspin, and loop drives  close to the table, but not powerful loops with good arc from mid distance like when I was gluing. Maybe I should wait a little more and adjust my stroke (I  was using chinese rubber with lots of glue before). My backhand was fine, in fact better than ever with IQ, maybe I shouldn't have tuned it too. Well, anyway, anyone glues/tunes IQ? Is it ok to do it since it is supposed to be sort of "built in speed glue"?

Tuned it once - it made it just a bit faster but loops became somewhat less consistent. So I realized I really do not need to tune IQ that much, especially IQUL which I am currently using.

I tried experimenting with the IQ tuned AND glued. 5 layers of PO which domed it to hell, 3 layers of glue when it settled.  loved the click, speed and lesser effort to execute attacks.

So it domed, uh? Mine was heavily reverse domed out of package, is that normal? Now (after 3 layers of lemon oil)  it's almost flat, but still slightly reverse domed. Maybe it needs another layer or two. I'll try it like this first, I don't want to overdo it. Just want some extra click, and less effort to produce penetrating loops. Do you think it can damage the rubber?

one thing to note is that the IQ that i've been using has been tuned for quite a number of times, so it has become more flexible and softer.  2 layers would dome it each time.
