I used the Avalox 500 for a year and recently switched to the Offensive Classic. I don't think 70% of the Chinese use this blade. I think it's more likely 70% of the Chinese use one of the stiga woods.  Avalox however is very popular among the Chinese.
I think it is a very good blade, but not quite as good as the offensive classic. I think you need to use a fast rubber like Hurricane 2 / Sriver L max / Bryce to really get the maximum out of this blade.

Not as much dwell time as the offensive classic means less spin and slightly less control. I found Offensive Classic more stable overall. More control. Speedwise they are about the same. But the extra spin gives Offensive Classic more control.

I prefer the P500 over the OC. Better feel.

I recently bought the avalox 550 blue thunder blade in hopes that it would be a good blade for me as there is so much hype about these blades boy was I disappointed it a lot of vibration, witch I dont mind, but I couldnt loop for nothing. It feels hard and is tricky to find the right rubber for it to mesh well with but I found that Chinese rubbers work best on it .prolly y so many Chinese players use it !

Both these blades seem to have quite a soft feel to me...

I've got two AVX 500's.  The first one I bought weighed in at 89 grams, and is probably my favorite of all the blades I've played with (lots!).  The second one I bought for a backup weighed in at 85 grams, and I really don't care for it so much.

I stumbled into the AVX 500 after playing with a BT555 for almost a year.  I found it to be excellent for looping, but just bouncier than I like in the short game.   I liked, and still like the BT555, but just prefer my first AVX500.  My second 500 has been relegated to backup and service practice use.  It feels and acts similar to my better 500 at slow speed.

Contrary to what "appears to be advertised", the BT555 and AVX500 are different animals.  The BT555 face plies are different than those on the 500 - coarser and quite different grain (obviously a different wood species).  The blades also have distinctly different feel and playing characteristics.

The 555 seems to have a little more dwell and snap, but at the expense (to me) of some control.  It also seams to have most of its flex right at the top of the handle - or seems to in my hands.  This is something I didn't care for in a Joola Sting or Yasaka Extra 3D.

My "pet" 500 is stiffer, and has a more linear feel then my old BT555.  Add 15% more oomph, and expect a similar increase in speed/spin.   The BT555 would occasionally surprise me - certain shots came off faster than expected, while others seemed to lag.

Both blades have a "good for me" amount of feedback, handles (shape and size), and balance.

bes
p.s. I tried four or five different Stiga OC's of various flavors (WRB, CR, plain) over the last couple years and hated them all.  I found them to be WAY too flexible and slow.  Revelation came when I borrowed a 15 year old (at least) OC from a visitor to our club.  It was a completely different animal.  It had much less vibration, better balance, more speed (still not super fast, but more than adequate), seemingly better control, and was just amazingly better in every respect.  If he would have been willing to sell, I'd have been "in the market"!

@bslater5

What rubbers do you use on your AVX500 and BT555?  If you don't mind I ask...

On the forehand I've had great luck with all the "classic and similar" rubbers - Mendo MP, Sriver (regular), Mark V, DSU, and Provine.  I wish (Darker) Provine were more available, I like it better than the rest unglued and at least as well glued.  Sriver and MP glued are both way better than "acceptable".

It also works well with Joola Energy and Sriver EL (glued).  I don't have as much luck with softer rubbers.  The Energy is really good for a "no speed glue required" rubber, but isn't quite a match for the real thing.  Also, it is expensive and delicate.  It is WAY better than any of the above unglued though...

On the backhand the same rubbers work, but Sriver EL, Gambler Six Shooter move up near the top of the list.

I just tried a new-for-me rubber, Galaxy Venus", and liked it on either side quite well when speed glued.  It is the first tacky rubber - save for a good (lucky?) sheet of H3 I had about a year and a half ago that I've cared for on it.

bes
Hope this helps.  Note that I generally like rubbers on the firm side of medium in general.  Even Sriver EL and Joola Energy are on the soft side for me when used on blades in this stiffness range.

Thanks for the information.  I am thinking trying P500 and BT550 again.  I used them for a short time and had a neutral opinion about them so I sold them.  Next time I try, I will use the classic rubbers as you suggested.

Sounds good.
I was tempted to do that myself, but tried Cermet instead.
