I've had bryce but after experimenting I couldnt use it because it always just hit the net. Now that I know how to loop, I'm wondering does bryce without speed glue have spin or is it just all speed? I was pinching the softness between my EL and bryce and I find that EL has a semi softer sponge , does this mean EL will generate more spin since the ball can sink in deeper? I know that Bryce is faster, I'm talking about forehand. |

Bryce is very fast, and it has a great spin if you glue. If you dont glue Bryce you just have to get used to it. The first time it will seem as the rubber is totally "dead", but you just have to get used to it, and use your wrist much more. But it will never be the same as with speedgluing.
I think that it is easier to produce spin with Sriver EL unglued, than with Bryce unglued.
If you want speed go for Bryce, need spin go for Sriver EL

thanks man! thats all I needed. I just noticed today that when looping my motion needs to be bigger. As a beginner I was told by this guy to not make my motion that big so I could recover. Being a newbie I listened and it'[s part of my muscle memory so now I have to fix myself.

I have both the OC and the CR version. They need a little of getting use to, but I'm still far from it. The flex of the blade just propels the ball into the net easily.
I would go for Sriver L/EL at most but not Bryce.
Also Chinese rubbers that are tacky would also be good.

I find when I play players with chinese rubbers its a lot more spinner. I thought spin comes from the body and stroke but I guess a little also has to do with equipment, is this correct?

Yes....I can generate loads more spin with Hurricane 3 than with any jap/euro rubber...especially on serve. |

Of course Chinese rubbers with their tacky surfaces produce far more spin than Jap/Euro rubbers. Effortless I would say. But the down side is that you would also be affected by the spin from your oppponent.
You may like to try serving with your short pip for a season and then serve with the same effort with tacky Chinese rubbers. You will find that your opponents will have a hard time trying to lift your underspin serves though you may be applying the same effort.

I actually generate a lot of spins on my serves. I find my sriver el generates a lot spin but it's kind of dull as in dead since I don't speed glue anymore, but I generate the power with my body. I find the rubber (not the sponge) of the sriver EL quite unique.

In the passive and slow game, the chinese rubbers are the spinniest. When speed comes in the ball the EU/Jap rubbers are the spinniest
