Why many european players now using chinese style racket : black forehand rubber and red backhand rubber ??? The Chinese has a proper reason to use it like that because they prefer tackier rubber on the FH and if I'm right, ppl says that black Chinese rubber is a bit slower and tackier than red Chinese rubber. But the europeans like Schlager and Boll, no reason.I know they are using Tenergy 05 right now, why do they follow Chinese style ???

cuz the Chinese are BA. So we all want to play with the color they do. Simple as that.

thats exactly right. I play Black on FH and Red on BH because I feel more BA like the chinese. It is indeed a better preference if you like tacky rubber though.. black is always tackier. But i still feel cooler lol.

To suggest that they are copying the Chinese is specious at best. Another way of saying this is; I think you are mistaken.
It may well be that many players of all countries, professionals and amatures alike, have taken to playing black on their FH due to the fact that it is, most likely, some small % softer as a result of the dye used to color it. It gives black rubber a slightly different feel/effect than their red counterparts. I myself have taken to playing black on my FH. I assure you, I am NOT following "Chinese style". |

Black makes more sense for FH as you can more easily see the ball marks, not to be confused with skid marks.

That just made my day. Thank you. Back to the topic. Maybe those European players found black Tenergies plays better than the red ones. Whether it's softer, like what Heimdallalso said, or some other factors that matter to them. Ryu also plays with black Omega III now. As far as I can recall, I think Schlager always used black on his FH. |
