Here is the lyrics and translations:

受过了多少次伤
Gotten hurt so many times
Tasted countless difficulties
So I can be much braver
Encourage myself to keep looking ahead
I believe there’s sun after the rain
I will drive a boat that is mine
No wind or waves can stop me
Because I have my own direction
You let me become stronger
No matter how much tears or sweat
Condensed into a belief
No matter how difficult the road can still see the beautiful light
Thank you for your continuous support
You give me the courage to forge ahead
Your being here all the time
Gives me boundless power of love
I will always remember your faces
Thank you for accompanying me as I grow
Your keen and resolute gaze

Lights up the road ahead for me

Yo! That was DA SH*T!!! I had no clue what was being said but hey, I really felt emotional watching that video.  Oh, and thanks for the translation.

Some thoughts:
1. Guo Yue with the yellow headband FTW.
2. LGL should really not wear hats.  It makes him look like a mechanic rather than a coach.  Also, he was wearing "1882 France" on the hat.  Political statement? Hmmm.
3. The girls looked like they were having a great time esp. Ding Ning.  Notice the part where she puts her hand on her heart.  How sweet.  XX and ZJK look like someone has a gun aimed to their heads and forcing them to do the vid.
4. Nice cameo by fans and also a few foreign players.
5. And lastly, they should not let Kong and LGL just talk.  Their parts should be rap or have T-Payne Autotune.  They did a great job with the video but the CNT really should consult with me before they do stuff like this Smile

AFAIK, nothing particularly interesting happened in France in 1882, I think it's just a random hat.

The inclusion of two Japanese and an American player is perhaps a significant statement in this feel-good vid, imho.

The Chinese are notorious for wearing clothing with random English words on them.
It doesn't even have to make sense.
Sorta like how, in America, people get tattoos with Chinese characters...that when translated is absolute gibberish.

is Ariel training in China right now? My friend said her chinese is pretty good, too! Respect to that. I know a lot of US-born Asian kids who can't speak their parent's language for sh*t!  And she's actually kinda cute?!!!! I would totally hit on her if i had the chance.)))))

I think so too.  But France had a major stock market crash that year similar to the one that the U.S. had in 1929.  It could be that LGL is giving a subliminal message "capitalism might be good, but it can also have victims".  But that's just me pulling theories out of my rear end Smile

Haha, nothing wrong with that Cool. It's a weird date/country combo to put on a hat.

I have to admit, I have seen a couple of "wierd" caps that LGL wears.
All these random words/numbers, this France one is not the first time Tongue

Just not sure how the new sponsors will be happy or not

With the Worlds being in Paris, a "France" hat makes sense, doesn't it? It's a little small for his big head though.

No, she's training with Warren Buffett and Bill Gates.

The video was probably made when she was in China for the World Team Cup.

I have a huge feeling that Ariel is going to make it into the corporate world and be the most successful business women with a table tennis back ground.

Like which other uncles are better than these two Wink

Speaking about Ariel

I saw a Chinese interview of Ariel before London, and her Mandarin was BAD. She even used English most of the time.

This video - i'm quite impress.

How is her Mandarin in real life?

Not sure about Ariel's situation but what I see usually is American players of Chinese descent (either born in the U.S. or immigrated at an early age) is they mainly learn Mandarin from their family and also hanging out with other kids who speak the language.  This does not lead to the highest skill level since they speak English in school all day during the week.  So their parents send them to "Chinese school" one day during the weekend to learn Chinese language and culture from native speakers.  Funny thing is I see some junior TT players and some hate it because they'd rather play video games during the weekend and some fully embrace as they are able to understand the other Mandarin-speaking kids.
