Well, so much for that mantra often repeated here, "never serve long as good players will kill the ball"

Well I suppose it probably helps that He Zhi Wen has freaky directional blocking skills.

I'm a lefty and that wide pendulum serve use to get my playing partner all the time. He returns it and I block it down the line for winner. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Well now he clearly stands in the middle of the table. If I serve wide off the table he'll smoke a heavy forehand loop back and me and blocking that correctly without an error for me isn't easy (even when I play pips). It's like he's daring me to serve to his backhand which I do. But that setup for the easy point is gone now.

He Zhi Wen doesn't care about getting a loop smoked back to him. He'll still correctly block that with all the pace down the line.

Yes I've also heard he plays 802. Wonder what sponge? I would guess 2.0

As for the other side, doesn't matter. He never hits with it. It could be painted for all we know.

He switches between 802 and Dolphin. The red rubber is 802 over TSP Speed sponge and the black is Haifu Dolphin.
