I have a primorac and a lot of people tell me it's a light racket but I consider it heavy as hell. I loop with it but it's not that fast (since it's off-) but when I give it the extra push to loop drive or just give it extra top spin(more than a regular loop) I feel like I'm just doing it to get it on the table and not placing it when I would like. I hear people telling me that people blame equipment as an excuse for their skill but the rating for primorac was horrible on almost all the sites I checked. Is there any point of control if the ball is going to travel that slow? by the time I make the opponent go one side and then loop it to another side the opponent is already is already on the other side do to the slowness of this shat. Can someone who owned a primorac tell me if this is true? That it's heavy and really slow.

I don't have a Primorac, but if it is not suitable for you because it is too slow, then it is time to consider changing the blade. It would be better if you can try some blades from your friends and then choose one that is most suitable for you. Then when you buy, ask for available alternatives in weight, because blade of same type and brand can have a difference of 10 grams, and that is substantial. Good Luck!

ive never played with the primorac either but the balsacarbo x5 is a great blade that offers a good control/speed ratio. Just beware that it is fragile and can chip and dent easily.

If you are not happy with the blade then switch. If you want to play fast then the primorac is not a good choice. It is flexible and good for control looping and a more balanced game.If you only need a little more speed try the korbel if you want a fast wood blade then try a clipper or a blue thunder. If that's not it try carbon.Kreanga carbon is really nice cause it has the feel of wood with the power of carbon but it cost a fortune andro has some light carbon blades but i never tried them or you could try the b fly X5 like suggested before.

I play with a primorac off- and I think that the power is just fine. If you think that your shots are not powerful enough, take a step back and examine your timing and ball contact.

I just spoke to a top player in our club ~2320 USATT who lost a guy who uses a penhold with Flextra! This player was ~2400 with a flextra. I guess I'm saying that technique is more important than equipment.

Having said this, I apologize for giving you bad advice if you're a 2000-player (I'm not that good ).

best of luck with your game...

the top player in our club is Randy Seemiller. The penholder is a player from Buffalo, can't remember his name right now...

you said it yourself.... Primorac is a solid blade, and not that bad at all, so focus on practising your shots instead of blaming the blade....
