why not? counterlooping can be done with any rubber. It's just the player's stroke that is important. I don't understand why you are so obsessed with a "counter looping rubber". It is you that will do the counterloop. If you don't have a good stroke, no rubber will correct this. By the way, Calibra is one of the best out there for counter looping, and it didn't work for you. This means you either have a different stroke and depend on more grip than sponge, or you don't have the fundamentals.

I am obsessed with counterlooping because it's the only way I could win...and i think there is a big difference with lt and lt sound..

I understand that. It's not an "easy rubber".

I have no experience with Calibra.  I do have doubts that changing the sound of the rubber will help your game.  I agree that more coaching and training are likely in order.  Counterlooping is not the only way to win points.  IMO, learning how to handle loops is actually more important than counterlooping.  Good well-placed blocks can take a looper right out of their game.  Learning how to drive loops can add a new dimension to anyone's game.

I used to use Desto F3 Big Slam.  IMO, Acuda S3 is already the Big Slam versions of Baracuda.

I don't like Acuda S3, I go for S1 and S2.. so far, I'm stuck with the original Baracuda.

Counter looping is not the end of the road, there are alot of shots that you can do to win a pont.  Calibra LT Sound is one beautiful rubber.  Proper training with a experience coach/trainer is the only solution that I can see that you need for now, not a rubber that can do counter loop.

The only problem I see with Donic Rubbers is that it Chips Out faster than most ESN rubbers. Usually on the side.

I already enjoyed playing with calibra lt sound you just have to hit hard and hit the sponge morethan the topsheet.i originally play with chinese rubber that is why my shots are always going down but now it's fine

Anyone can make comparison with tibhar genius series and boost TX as well? Because now my candidates are these rubber together with baracuda and I'm a 2 wings looper and topspin style.....

Thanks

ive tried both the boost tx and the genius, genius is slower than boost tx but the tibhar genius is much better in every aspect than the boost tx. spinnier, easy to loop with, nice control and has a lot of gears

Look you should pick the baracuda. s2 doesnt offers much grip but baracuda does. So if you brush a lot while doing counter topspin than you'll like the baracuda. Thats why you dont like the calibra sound. Because it doesnt bite the ball.
genius is spinny too but throw angle is flatter so its not good for countertopspin. Still genius is much better than calibra sound and s2...

Yep. I tried out at least ten new rubbers, including hexer and calibra, and acuda s2 was most similar to T05, with the exception that it was a tiny bit softer and lighter, even though it's medium to medium hard imo.

How does Acuda S2 compare to Vega pro? You've played both I think? Or is S2 more comparable to Vega europe?

S2 is not a soft rubber. It's more in the middle.

Baracuda life update....

I noticed today that the Baracuda I've been using is starting to lose its grip, the throw is somewhat lower than it was a couple of weeks ago.  The sheets I got last May are starting to give up the ghost.  I did reglue them last time I played (Elmer's No Wrinkle Rubber Cement) so they probably got a bit more life from from the VOCs in the glue.  But today the rubbers had lost their life, lost their pop, was not able to generate as much spin.  It was also a cold day in the facility which probably contributed to the deadening of the rubber.  Speed glue might put it on life support, but when it's time to change, it's time to change.

Same thing with Acuda S2 when it gets worn.

I haven't played with S2 that much - maybe 40 hours, it's on a second blade - but it wouldn't surprise me.

As I replace rubber, I might try S2 on the bh with Baracuda on the fh.  That would give me a bit lower trajectory off bh loops.  Maybe a little better at blocking.

I'd say 10 months is pretty darn good for new generation SGE rubbers.... used to be 3 months max with the older generations.

I clean the rubber before, during and after playing.  I keep the racket in a [nearly air-tight] protective case when I'm not using it.

I also use Elmer's Wrinkle Free Rubber Cement.  Don't know if that makes a difference or not, but that glue does give a little extra life to dying rubber.  I don't play tourneys so it doesn't matter.
