I think it is not bad to belong to the EJ Club.

There is a lot of fun in the EJ Club. Just need to have some control and be smart following some rules.

1. The first rule is to have a main set up. Something to score the best, to be competitive and overall to be a reference to compare performance. And about this main set up do not change things easily. Be realistic. One can imagine is Ryu S Min playing with a thick Hinoki blade and have a lot of fun but not taking it at first as main set up.

2. Try to get a main blade and a main fh and bh rubbers. And do not take it to another set up.

3. Then buy the blade you want to have fun, to test power, etc. But do not take the rubbers of your main to put in the several ej blades. This way one can really compare at the same time if one scores better or how accurate is the new feeling.

4. Control that your money spend does not cause a negative effect.

And ... enjoy different equipment.

I belong to this club.

Main set up: sn465 with t05 fh and sriver fx bh. Also i can play as close to the main set up with, tbalc st, ludeack power.

Fun and testing blades at present with same rubbers: Inn Alc, Gergely21, Ludeack Fleet, EJm7.

I usually have in my blade bag 2 set ups. The main and a second.

Though having fun testing equipment, i keep a second set up together with the main for some time. I experienced to have a second different blade set up, a lot of times gets me away of getting lazy playing all the time with the same blade and rubbers. I can refresh some technique and pay attention to new ideas.

At present i have the sn465 with t05 and sriverfx as main, and a Ludeack power with same rubbers as second powerfun set up.

Sometimes to stay with the same blade and rubbers gets you lazy to test new things and to evolution.

Most of people in this forum already belong to this club, and it's scary.  So unless you keep it anonymous, people will be afraid to venture in...

Ok, I am out the here...  You didn't see me here...

i understand your point mhnh007.

there are a lot of worse things in life like alcohol or gambling that can drive to a negative result without control. However and the same with alcohol or gambling, in a right way one can enjoy.

The introduction of the first post in the EJ Club is intended in that way. EJing in a right way. This is the EJ Club.

Ejing without control and knowledge is not the EJ Club. But those ejs can get in the EJClub to share knowledge, to saive money and to have fun.

Actually, there is nothing wrong being an EJ (right way or wrong way), it's lots of fun, but I have to admit deep down inside, I just want to find that one setup and settle down...

I guess it's just like being single, lots of fun, but eventually we will all make that one final commitment... Smile

I have settled down with one setup and now it is my third month with the same setup and I am no longer looking for more speed of spin or more control. At the same time I continue to try out stuff just because I enjoy it and love adding to my knowledge of various blades and rubbers out there, limited as my knowledge still is. And if is not really blades that I try out as much as rubbers. But I cannot emphasize enough that I am not looking to change my main setup which is the only setup I use in practice sessions and matches. And as screwed up as it sounds, I am very happy with mh main, but I think I am still an EJ as well. Or even a collector.

Ranger-man, you actually belong to the EJ Club. You have a main set up with your heart, and like trying another stuff. And there is no noticeable negative result in your economy. That is perfect.

Though one is not looking for changing the set up (me either) one like to try and play and have fun with other equipment. The heart club (EJ cured) is not actually your club if you buy equipment quite often. It is the EJ Club.

In fact, the ej virus is stronger when someone being happy with the set keeps often trying new equipment.

EJ Club is right.

Yeah EJmaster I think you make a valid point there. And I think being an EJ does not necessarily mean that one does not have a consistent main setup. I am an EJ simply because I like to try out new stuff and I counted the number of rubbers I own right now, more than 30 brand new and used rubbers. Almost 20 brand new and used blades. And yet only four blades have rubbers on them. And I play with only two of them. One is my main setup, the other is one I love to have fun with because it is pips out, so it is like a break from my usual style, it helps to break the routine now and then. What my point was us this, an EJ can be loyal to one setup and still be an EJ. So I guess I am at a cross-roads, since I have a consistent main, but I am not cured of EJism, nor do I want to be.

RM, don't you dare leave the heart club!

The heart club allows to test new equipment, as long as you have a set up that is closest to your heart. I think we all like the possibility to try out new set ups, but the difference between us, the sane members of the heart club and the EJ's is that we always keep our main set up intact, while a true EJ wouldn't hesitate to sell his main set up to be able to afford a new one. EJ's don't have a main set up, they constantly change everything about it, while we, once again the sane people in the heart club, never changes our main set up with out extensively consideration about it, and if we do change, we are most likely to only change one thing about it at the time, while the EJ's could buy a new blade with 2 new rubbers that he/she have never tested before.

So, RM, I do hope I see you at the next meeting with the heart club

I think you started this club with my brain.

The happily ever after is not worth claiming for a second.

There is no such thing. Maybe when you die if you were good enough then you belong there, but we are all Ejs with a main set up. Me I am an Ej revolving around my favourite rubber tenergy 05 sometimes tenergy 64 on backhand.

The best efficency blade I have ever tried is Ishlion for my looping game but currently loving using timo boll spirit, but it does feel like a lack of efficency compared to the ishlion. I don't think efficency is everything because the most efficient has no feeling.

Such as balsa covered with carbon only.

A good blade to have fun in the EJ Club: Gergely 21.

The blade is around 69 $ + shipping.

I have played with the same rubbers i usually play. Tenergy05 fh and Sriverfx bh. Perfect match. So i didnt have to spend money in different rubbers to enjoy.

It was time since i enjoyed playing with Gergely. Gergely 21 has a handle viscaria like and the blade size is compact. The quite thick Hinoki outer together with carbon works as well as always and maybe better. In conclusion, a lot of smiles when hitting.

Speedplay, 2 Hearts?????. What is this?. One is the wife and the other the lover?.

Can not publicy in the signature the lover. that is not the right way.

In my opinion the man who has a wife and sometimes goes to a night club is doing things better than the man who has a wife and a lover in a flat. Even so, i do not want to judge the man with a lover in a flat.

EJ Club is a realistic and honest Club. EJ Club = EJ in the right way.

EJ Night Club ??. mmm, maybe it is better not publicy that Club. No members.

How about Stratus CB? I do like softer composites that are oriented to controlled looping like WSC, Innerforce AL, Spark etc. Would it be worthwhile EJ purchase? I read that CB is slower than PW.

Stratus cb is a worth buy. I like it even more than Innerforce Alc. Because it is more stiff-flex. I know that there is some contradiction being stiff and flexible, but thin blades because they are thin they get flexible even being quite stiff/rigid. The carbon feeling in cb gets a more stiff feeeling than the arylate carbon.

Stratus cb is more or less same fast as Innerforce and all handles are very good. I have the AN and is very good. More or less (maybe a little less) same speed as st pw.

Don't worry Speedplay, I am not planning on leaving the HEART club, simply because I want to continue playing with the same setup because it is good for my game. And I do like my current setup a lot. One ply blades have such a unique feel, I think it is true, that you either love them, or hate them. I happen to love them. Was just saying that I do have the credentials of a full fledged EJ as well, and I am not ashamed of that. Nor am I ashamed to have settled down on one setup.
So, if the EJ club will have me, I would like to be a member here as well. Approve

jt99sf, do you like more to test blades than rubbers or it does not matter?.

I like to test blades more than rubbers.

do you play with t64 fh and palio bh in the bbc/iolite/tbs ... or change to different rubbers?.

When i change to different rubbers sometimes i get a mess in feeling. And i hate to search for recovering the feeling. However trying just blades i have fun and it happens few times i lose the feeling.

What is your experience?.

I def like to test blades than rubbers because I can really get used/attached to a rubber.

Right now its the T64, I know EXACTly what to expect from the T64.
It is fun to experiment with diff blades and find out their gears...

zlc would be great to try. I still wish the jun mizutani was like $100 i would get it today.

But I am happy with my tbs, my looping feels more consistant although less quick fire.
