I just set almana sound max on my blade - donic person power speed. (i did not played yet). It looks not faster then mark V (2 mm) when you play with the ball. and less spin. :( . i hope it will be different near the table |

The spin in Almana sound doesnt show until you hit hard. In slow play, like serve and servereturns it is easy to control with a minimum of spin. When hitting a real loop youll find that you have all the spin you need

I played with Almana sound max today. very disappointing expirience. Not faster then Yasaka mark V. Not spinny. Chop is very bad. Servises also. when you do very strong spin - it works not bad, especially far from the table. But from the middle zone - not so good because the catapult is very low. Control not so bad Magna is much better in spin and faster also. I will not try this rubber again |

Well, I havent tried Magna, but my training partner play Almana sound and he can produce good serves and really hig spinning loops with it. It takes a while to get used to, I remember that he to complained at first but now he loves the rubber. By, the way, he plays close to the table almost all the time and looping everytime he gets the oppurtunity. I finally bought my new equipment! Since the Joola MC1 was out of store I went for Stiga optimum + instead. Its both heavier and slower then MC1, but being lazy i saw the advantage with Chrystal technologi, just glue the rubbers on and play I also bought an new sheet couga and a sheet og stiga optimum mp. Havent had time to try them out yet, but my expectations are skyhigh! Thanks to all of you who have helped me with advice, now I hope that i have a really fast combo! |
