firehand grip, thumb on rubber? |

hey guys, i have my fh grip , with no thumb on the rubber, as in its on the triangular bit of the blade.
buthaving put the thumbon the fh rubber, i feel more stable and my wrist isnt moving during fh stroke, causeing balance. who does and doesnt put their thumb on fh rubber witht their fh grip? |

I bet you'll find that the thumb on the rubber feels better on your backhand, but you're probably switching it a bit on the forehand, if even subconsiously. It's kind of a bh grip. Its common for your thumb to touch the rubber, but I don't think most coaches would tell you it's proper to put it out onto the rubber.

I put my fingers on the rubber for fh and bh all the time.
