Hi all. My friend is thinking about buying this blade as I have never used it so can't give my friend opinions. Has anyone used this? And can you tell me how is your experience with this bat (A small review would be perfect)?

Thanks.

i own it
its a nice blade from what i remember
mine is in bad condition and was my first pro cpen blade
it has great control but the speed rateing is slower than what they say
over all i would say its a great blade
butterfly rateings i would say it is 7.8 speed and 8.8 control

I had it once, it is arylate carbon. I like it but mine was too heavy for me (over 90 grams) so I sold it. I considered the speed to be quite ok.

Guess there's nothing special about this blade, especially now the size of the ball has changed to 40mm. Might suggest my friend to buy 'Primorac Carbon-CS', it is cheaper and much faster. Think the less control can be enhanced by rubber with better control.

Hi wawaicetea123. Can you give me a bit more info. Like

- how long have you been using it?

- your price.

- any pictures of it?

Thanks.

I have a takism, I think it is just okay.  I am not that impressed by it.  I think primorac carbon or avalox 700 or stiga 7.6 are better choices.

i've tried taksim, i didn't really think much of it. lots of better choices for penhold out there, off the top of my head, my fav cpen blades were Darker 7p-2a, clipper cr, and yasaka extra. i know that yasaka gatien carbon is pretty good too. taksim was much too soft to block with imho, and too bouncy for shortgame even with h3.

Sorry 7homuz, I might have asked this question previously, but I missed the reply: according to your opinion, which one is faster between Taksim and Darker 7P-2A? I found that my Taksim is faster than my 7P2A-Carbon. Or was it because I sealed too much on my Taksim ?

i thought that the 7p-2a was faster for flat shots like blocks and hits, but taksim was slightly faster on loops. it was alittle easeir to loop with taksim too.

no, max is not 2.5. max is whatever the max thickness of the sponge could be when added with the topsheet equals 4mm. for example, if the topsheet is 1.5mm thick, then max sponge will be 2.5. in the case of sriver, the topsheet is around 1.7mm, MAX is only around 2.3.

7homuz, I just noted that the two carbon plies on 7P2A Carbon are positioned near the center. Perhaps this is why the blade is not very fast because they are far from the outer plies. Other carbon blades that I know has the two carbon layers towards the outer side.

i personally thought that the 7p-2a wasn't a good deal compared to the normal 7p-2a. i tried one (shakehand) and didn't it anymore then the normal 7p-2a, in fact i liked the normal one abit more since it was lighter.

Thanks for your information. This will be a lesson for me. Based on the comments on the normal 7P2A  I bought 7P2A Carbon thinking that I would get a faster blade, and now it seems that I am wrong.
