hello,
I am looking for the history of an stiga CL cpen blade. the handle is dark brown, the label is black with white "stiga". Not the red ones I think in the 90's. Q1: when is this made? does CL first appear around 80's? Q2: it seemed 7-ply, is the middle 5-ply ayous? the top ply look distinctly limba and does not appeared to be ayous (having said that I actually don't know how ayous top ply look like). does this make sense for cpen blade at this period? thanks, |

This looks like an old blade(may be before 1990). Is that the original handle? All stiga blades I've seen has the handle on the side together with the words 'allround' & 'wood' (as for your case). And that sticker as in the picture existed from the late 90's. Before that I've not seen such a sticker.

whatever it is its a great blade, all the old stigas ive tried besides allarounds are fantastic, the old allarounds are just way to flexy for the 40mm ball, gr8 for 38.....sigh...sigh....

I think the sticker was different in the earlier times. I only saw that sticker from the late 90's or later. Performance wise I don't doubt. Having an old blade is great!
