    Posted: 06/13/2007 at 1:48am
hello,
I am looking for the history of an stiga CL cpen blade. the handle is dark brown, the label is black with white "stiga". Not the red ones I think in the 90's.

Q1: when is this made? does CL first appear around 80's?

Q2: it seemed 7-ply, is the middle 5-ply ayous? the top ply look distinctly limba and does not appeared to be ayous (having said that I actually don't know how ayous top ply look like). does this make sense for cpen blade at this period?

thanks,

It looks like a Stiga from the 80ies.

This looks like an old blade(may be before 1990). Is that the original handle? All stiga blades I've seen has the handle on the side together with the words 'allround' & 'wood' (as for your case). And that sticker as in the picture existed from the late 90's. Before that I've not seen such a sticker.

whatever it is its a great blade, all the old stigas ive tried besides allarounds are fantastic, the old allarounds are just way to flexy for the 40mm ball, gr8 for 38.....sigh...sigh....

I think the sticker was different in the earlier times. I only saw that sticker from the late 90's or later. Performance wise I don't doubt. Having an old blade is great!
