I'm looking to try an oversized blade, but not sure what to look for. I normally use a fast, light, stiff carbon.
Are there any offensive oversized blades? Are there any Chinese made offensive oversized blades? Thanks! |

Yeahr, it has to be light because of the extra rubber weight!

i've played with all of stiga's oversized blades and, in my mind, the OFFENSIVE OVERSIZE is the best. the CARBO OVERSIZE is good, too, but it's way too heavy!

sorry, i dunno.
but on the PADDLE PALACE website, it lists the ALLROUND at 85, the CARBO at 90, the OFFENSIVE at 91 and the CLIPPER at 92. like i said i played with all of them and for me the CARBO was clearly the heavier blade. the CLIPPER was no. 2 and the OFFENSIVE, no. 3. but, of course, there's no way to guarantee you will get a blade at the stated weight, which is why some websites will give you the weight and then say "plus or minus 5 gms." i also bought a clipper once in japan and it was 87 gms. that was the lightest (and best) one i had ever had and, as fate would have it, i broke it! i bought another clipper here and it just wasn't the same. it's a shame japan is so damn far away. if you want to buy a good quality blade that's where you wanna go... |

I use only one side at a time, but put a rubber on both. The reason weight is an issue is because I will be using much more rubber to cover, i.e. Hurricane III is HEAVY at the normal size. But mostly . . . I LIKE IT LIGHT. |

I wish I could get the MC-1 or x50 BIGGER. I like those two. So, I guess I'm looking for something light, fast, and stiff. Yikes, this is sounding like a gay porno ad. |

kinda off topic but has anyone heard of a player useing a almost defensive blade like an all+ and then just swing really hard and almost out of control but they can also block controlably i have had that idea have never owned a "slow" blade to test this out |

Takaaki, if you buy from iruiru, you can ask the available weight alternatives, and then you choose one. The one chosen by you is the one which will be sent, so you know the exact weight in advance. Tommyzai, If you are penholder, then you can try Schlager Carbon X-CS (mine is 92 grams) but I don't know what is the weight alternatives available currently. |

I'm not a penholder, but the blade sounds good. Do they make a SH (ST or FL) model? I'm confused about what to get. All the Oversized Blades seem to be defensive. I need one for hitting and blocking. |

:-(. So far it looks like my best affordable option (under $75) is the Stiga Offensive or Clipper. Any thoughts?

Okay, it looks like the Stiga Oversized series might be my best best for the price-range. Which one is the best for attack? CARBO? OFFENSIVE? CLIPPER?

considering that you are using hurricane or any chinese rubbers, the clipper and the offfensive will yield a heavy setup. Unless you can find a clipper around 80-85. I'd go for clipper.

Mece, do you mean I should try the OFFENSIVE if I can't find a CLIPPER that's light?
