I listen to a lot of the same stuff as smitty, I love classic rock, indie rock, techno is amazing... great while playing table tennis... well actually anything is, although I do not like hip hop rap whatever you want to call it i hate it, and country... no comment. but I do like some "pop" stuff, although its not really pop, such as keane! woo, man, smitty I dont know how you cant like it, so good... falsetto all day... O wait, you are anti conformist, nevermind, i understand. Ty Mai Shoo is good too. no it sucks. cheesburger 39 cents at mcdonalds

i listen to a lot punk/hardcore. i.e. ten yard fight, bane, ensign, some kind of hate, the promise, etc... my nerves are usually on full blast before games so i try to tone it down before matches and listen to some indie rock. i.e. grandaddy, wilco, these arms are snakes, american football, sonic youth.

i dont like many new age rappers like 50 cent and g unit, chingy etc...i think theyre all sh*t. The only rappers i like at the moment are like talib kweli, mos def, common, kanye west, i also like new outkast stuff. I also listen to old school rock, like 80's type stuff like inxs and styxx etc. Anything thats not about "whips" and "ice". I dont really like techno and any of that super energy stuff that you should be doing backflips to. I like calm music as well, like ray charles and edith piaf, pretty much anything, as well as some other rock like the hives. |

I listen to pretty much any rap, late 80's and newer. Some softer R&B stuff is ok once in a while. My favorites are Warren G, Dr. Dre, Too $hort, Ludacris, Young Jeezy, DMX and other stuff like that.

Classical music -- mostly Bach along with Beethoven, Brahms, Haydn, Mozart and others. Occasionally jazz. Lately I can't get enough of listening to Glenn Gould play Bach. It seems addicting. I also like listening to Bach by this guy 20 or 30 years ago I listened to rock or pop music, but almost none anymore. |

I don't hate some music genres but I just don't want to listen to them. I'm into almost any type of rock music but I also listen to some Urban music but I personally don't like pop.

I dont know if anyone is aware of this but there was this experiment done on water molecules and I;m not gonna go into detail but scientists took a small sample of dirt water and it look pretty bad. Then they played classical music next to it, the water molecules looked knida like a snow flake, then when they played some other music rougher than classical music it changes in a good way but it didnt look as pretty like the classical then they played heavy metal and rock music to the water and the water molecules looked better than the dirt water along but not as pretty as the others. Then there was this plant experiment, they took three plants and played the same types of music, those three plants were all healthy and had the same conditions, the plant with classical music fliurished, the one with heavy metal rock died and the other one grew like normal.

i've heard of most of those. the only thing on that list i struggle with is merzbow. i just can't get into noise at all. explosions in the sky is a fantastic listen, and with some of the others you mentioned i bet you're into mogwai. |

If you like them, consider OC, Diverse, Ras Kass, The Roots, Gang Starr, and Masta Killa. My favorites are "Moment of Truth" by Gang Starr and "No Said Date" by Masta Killa. Lupe Fiasco also might be pretty good, depending on how his first album turns out |
