tacky means a little sticky, for example, my tg2 is tacky, it can hold a ball upside down when it's clean; grippy means it's not sticky... can't think of a good example, but like tires... they aren't sticky, but they grip the road. i'd think ur setup is good, i don't know anything about the mark v xs, but i think the thinnest lkt pro xt comes in is 2mm, which is fine, because it already has super soft sponge; usually softer sponges offer greater control.

Hi, So would you reccomend that I go for that setup, I can get the Pro XT in 1.5/1.8mm, or should I just for 2mm?
And do people tend to have more attacking rubbers on their forehand, and then more control rubbers on the backhand when using penhold?
Would the normal Mark V suit my forehand style (would I be able to block/push with it as well as loop)
Thanks for any advice.....

since u can get it thinner than 2, i'd say go with 1.8. yes, people tend to have more attacking rubbers on fh, and more control rubbers on bh, that is especially true for penholders. from my impression, i'd guess normal mark v is more well rounded offensive rubber, mark v xs is more aggressive offensive rubber, but i don't think there's that much difference.
