Anybody used Tackifire rubbers from Butterfly? I want to get a new rubber for my backhand with good control but same time with decent good speed but not too fast. The best control rubber would probably be Tackiness chop but the speed is not good at all. Anybody got ideas? Thanks.

Anybody tried Moresto or Stiga's Magna (is this a tacky rubber?) or Juic Spinspiel Ultima or 999 Elite Ultima? How about good backhand Joola rubbers with good control and speed?

I would say Magna, Tackifire C Soft or Tackiness C II

i have the x5 balsacarbo and i play mostly close to the table. my backhand is primarily for the blocks, drives and chops - i sometimes loop in my backhand but i'm learning for more backhand looping. what would be a good backhand rubber for me? how would tackifire C fits on my x5? i'm a little confuse really... there's tackifire C and tackifire drive, then there's tackiness drive and tackiness chop (how would this fit in x5?).

i thought magna is kind of tacky, i guess i'm wrong.

tackiness chop aint bad when glued, still good control and speeds up nicely, the topsheet on tackifire c soft is not as soft as tackiness c.

I really like takifire D on my forehand because im a heavy looper. My Backhand is stronger than my forehand (lol) so i need a really fast rubber. i also chop my backhands really spinny. so i recomend Tango if going for spinny. OR Joola Energy.
But if ur looking for a bit more power and speed then look forward to Joola energy extra.

Back to Forehand. if you like to loop like Joo See Hyuk then y dnt u use the Takifire D? i just wan tto no how spinny u loop.

The Magna is a bit tacky, not as much as something like a H3, but still sticky. I had it on my FH (on the X5) before changing to H3. If you're interested in trying it, I have a barely used sheet cut for the X5 that I'll sell for cheap, just PM me.

tackiness c is my favourite backhand rubber,if you want chop 1.1 for more underspin if your blade is soft enough,1.3 for good underspin and slow spinny loops, stronger loops with 1.9 glued up...but not as good to chop with, joola topspin c is faster than tackiness c with a little  more catapult effect,i.e 1.8 topspin faster than 1.9 tackinessc if you go for the joola rubber the topspin`c`(not topspin)is best for backhand....okThumbs%20Up

Ryanp, takifire D would b abit more heabyas well. if you really want to like punch with your backhand, then i would sugest takifire D. But if you want to chop sort but spinny chops then use the takiness D. Bt it sounds like ur really playing 90-10. so therefore i recomend you takifire  D. Takiness strangly has a dull feeling. but the Takifire doesnt. Anyway i heard takifire is going to b an uncomon rubber. Well it is now. So if i were u..... ill use the Takifire

Tackire special is fantastic because it feel like a slight harder, slower Sriver L. I have it on my fh as well w/ SC. With it being slower and harder you can play a close-to-the-table game kinda like H3 but not sticky where you can't have a little more speed during counter and blocks. You do need to soften it a bit with rubber cement or speed glue.

I've replaced recently my aged Nittaku Magic Carbon 1.9 with JUIC 999 Elite Ultima 1.8 on the FH side.  Gained more speed and spin practically w/o sacrificing any control. It feels and sounds softer than Magic Carbon, which is also favourable to me.

Kept my Tackiness-C on the BH side for now, but really looking into replacing it with Tackifire C Soft, or at least with Tackiness-C II to gain more speed. Thinking of building a new paddle based on X5 as well.

Takifire Special Soft is a very controllable rubber for opening loops, much more so than Tackiness Drive. I tried them out on the same blade and I like Special Soft better - no arguement.

theman -- perhaps, but you pay for in batch-to-batch inconsistency at times, and for some rubbers (tackiness chop comes to mind) the tack lasts quite a while, whereas (especially red) chinese sheets lose their stick relatively quickly.

I'll second tackifire C soft -- it's what i'm using, and it's the easiest sheet to loop BH that i've ever tried. Keep in mind that i normally play bh long pips, so i have very little experience looping off the backhand.

Compared to Tackifire Drive, it's very controllable (imo), especially comparing them in the same thickness (1.9 for me). Perhaps marginally less spinny on slow serves, slow loops, and pushes, but nearly identical on fast serves, smashes, blocks, and (to me) better spin on loop kills.

agtom -- if you haven't used tackchop 2, and are looking for 'tackchop 1 but faster', i think you'd be better served by getting a 1.7-1.9 tackdrive or a 1.9 tackifire C soft. imo, the sponge on the tackchop 2 is a little to hard to control loop consistently, and not nearly as versatile while defending / playing the short game... whereas what you're gaining is merely more speed.

personally, i felt like going from tackchop 1 (1.9mm) to tackifire C soft (also 1.9) felt much more natural then going from tackchop 1 (1.7) to tackchop 2 (also 1.7)

for all the messages i see about double happiness hurricane 3, i'm now curious what this rubber can do. years ago i never like dh because they were generally a little heavier compared to other rubbers.
