I have been experimenting with this on the topsheets of rubbers,it domes them and makes them tacky and softer,I have done markv and just a short while ago did a H3,I then could hold a ball upside down on the H3 for 30 secondsLOL,markv for about 3 seconds

Hi Alfie,,,
Interesting...does it leave a film on the rubber that would be obvious?
If you apply the CTE like normal to the sponge and then the top sheet, does it take the dome down some?
Have you tried playing with this yet? Please let us know how it goes.
Did it make the topsheet noticably thicker?
Thanks for your efforts at experimenting.

If you don't clean your rubber after you have applied the CTE it leaves it with an unbelievable amount of tackyness I would imagine so much you can't play with it,with my first experiment I waited 1 hour then tried a ball upside down and after 2 minutes holding the ball upside down I held the blade sideways and it stayed on sideways for about 3 seconds. So I then cleaned it and it took some tackness off but still a bit more tacky than the original sheet and no flim on the rubber.
It makes a good dome down on Markv topsheet but less of a down dome on H3 topsheet but it does soften both topsheets.
Didn't notice that the topsheet was thicker don't think so,with CTE on the markv topsheet it can hold a ball upside down for about 3 seconds but without CTE it can't even pick a ball up

edit: with CTE you are going to be able to turn all kinds of rubbers into a totally different rubber,I really think the ITTF have opened a can of worms banning speedglue.
I could not imagine playing a chopper with CTE treated long pips, the spin they will be able to create will be enormous

no not played with it yet will have a go monday
