Hey, just out of curiosity, what blade does Ma Lin use? And does Wang Hao actually use the DHS blade with his name on it or not? Thanks

It is very difficult to say with certainty what blade Ma Lin is using, the handle says "Ma Lin Carbon" but I cannot see any carbon in the blade.
http://www.fotop.net/rxng/cntt/malin http://www.fotop.net/rxng/cntt/malin2 I don't think that WH uses the blade with his name on it, the best I can tell it looks like he uses the DHS Dipper blade, with different handles. http://www.fotop.net/rxng/cntt/wangggg If I were to guess I'd say that both of them use the Dipper! But, it is hard to say. |

I was always a bit skeptical about the idea of a Chinese team member using carbon, particularly Lin who plays so close to the table. When I first saw the pics I thought there might be a layer on the bh side like Kong had some composite on his bh, but I don't think there is any in the Ma Lin blade. |

only omega 1 and omega 2 has built in speed glue effects..
omega 3 was created for Ryu, so he can use speed glue...
but omega 3 also will become to tensor rubber...
after speed glue ban...

Ma Lin now uses YASAKA MA LIN EXTRA OFFENSIVE..it has the darker outer layers you can see in the picture and its a 5ply allwood blade, but quite fast for being a wooden blade. MA LIN EXTRA OFFENSIVE was introduced to asian market recently and will come to europe but Its very similar to YASAKA EXTRA II and YASAKA Allround 40.
He has been using it for about 2 years. Before he used YASAKA Extra for many years and then he switched to YASAKA Ma Lin Carbon(In Shanghai WTTC 2005).
Wang Hao used YASAKA EXTRA for many years, for example in 2004 Olympics when he won silver and in Shanghai 2005. Even if he now has other handles i wouldnt be surprised if he still uses a YASAKA blade but with changed handles. For example MA LIN EXTRA OFFENSIVE.
By the way, they just played final in French Open. MA LIN won 4-1:D
