I am a long pimple player, fh loop first and hit on the 2nd ball, b/h chop to defend and hit to attack often. have tried 3 types of combinations; (1)Butterfly Gergely blade, tackifire f/h, 755 (0.5mm)friendship b/h; (2) Butterfly Joo Se Hyuk blade, tackfire f/h, 1615 double fish (0.5mm)b/h; (3) Joola Chen Wei-Xing Blade, Sriver f/h. Joola Octopus (1.0mm) b/h.
With Gergely, my f/h is strong but my b/h chopping does not have the dead drop feel when chopping and not steady. (2) Joo Se Hyuk is not good for f/h attack and double fish does not have the placement control but extremely either 'funny' or 'drop feel'. (3) Chen W/X is very good for chopping but not good for attacking and heavy. Anybody recommend a good blade for my type of playing; lighter blade, more powerful f/h but good control b/h? Any ideas for a long pimple rubber for this type of playing? |

Just by looking at the blades and rubber that you use, I just want to make a comment. It's not easy to find a suitable combo if you just switch the entire racket to another. It seems like you would just move on to another racket without keeping certain component that works well for you.
I would recommend you try to swap your rubber between the blade, because it just might be the blade + rubber doesn't make up a good combo for you. For example, you said that the BTY Gergly blade + tackifire is great for forehand but not a great backhand, put a softer and more dead long pip could help perhaps? or seeks a faster rubber for forehand on your Chen W/X blade. It's not recommended to keep switching your blades all the time. Without a certain component remains, it's really hard to test what exactly is the problem there. So try the same blade with different rubber. It's better than move on to another blade. Also, it's better for skill development by staying with the same blade. |

Your setup 3, sounds good.... you shouldn't have to worry about weight, Sriver and Octupus is very light!
...Try that setup on your Joo
