I have not used 531 or 837 for long like at least few days. I have used many other long pips from manufactures like Butterfly, Joola etc... The life of a rubber depends on how long you use.

There are some differnts between the color and the stile you pay! If you play red offence the live will bee short, but if you pay the black one and more defence the lifetime will be ok.

Why the red one has shorter life?

I'll go out on a limb and say it's because of the dye; in Chinese inverted, at least, the red sheets tend to be less sticky, and also more brittle, due to more dye being added.

I'm assuming the same thing applies here, though of course pip size / batch inconsistency is part of it too.

Yes the 837 has pimples broken off the quickest IMO. It really does depend on how you play, and at what level... the more you hit with it, or the harder people hit to you, the easier the pips break off.

I say 837. I once accidently clean the pip with energy foam, the next time I played with it the pips fell off

70 % of Taiwan long plmples choppres use 837.

But I both love & hate 837.

Most of the play  I chop ,sometimes I block ,and seldom do I attack.
Normal life is one to two months(if you  attack ,normal life would be  one day to seven).

But  when I switched to  531,I got mad.
Though it  is much cheaper(10RMB in China),the rubber and sponge is very easy to break off.Try one for seven days ,you will know.

Besides,I used  Butfly Feint Long,Feint Long2,Feint Long3,Feint Soft ,Feint Ox.These Long Pimples get very long life. But only Feint ox makes me play like long pimples.

C7 ,388D,388D1,L1.L2, 979  are cheap but  get long lives.
