If i am correct bomb is a chinese brand?I see presports is stocking their new everest single plate hinoki shakehand blade.but at an amazing price of $200 u.s.!that makes it more expensive that a btfly cypress max or a darker speed 90!

they got the hinoki from the top of Everest,that's why it's expensive :-)

this blade should jive well wif our everest81. Wif that amnt of $$$, I rather get a Darker Speed 90 Shkhnd n still have lots to spare 4 a pc. of high end rbr or 2! Just insane for a Chinese made Bomb!

A darker speed 90 shakehand is a around $135 so that leaves you about $60 left.you could almost but 2 tanpans!

when i saw this blade a few months ago ,i thought it would be in the $75-85 range.It does say it is kiso so they must import it from japan or have another supplier make it.which i find hard to believe for a chinese company.I see the thickness varies between 9.5 to 10.5 mm??The side and front pics i had were really nice and the grain was impressive but $200 even i have to pass on this one.

I really really truly luv the name and the "caligraphy" on the blade. It's unique and also it looks so pale unlike the other Kiso Hinoki blades, esp. DARKERs! 90-95g is kinda on the chubby side. If Ryno said that he will have to pass on this one...then there is no point for the rest of us to drool on this... @GKnight. U r gonna unload ur custom made Bty for this, right?

I wonder what's the diff between the everest and the himalaya, probably just the quality of the hinoki used. At least its cheaper than xiom 1 ply hinoki Cpen

...if it would have been a japanese brand...its normal....the issue here is....can a chinese brand put up a big price tag...? and relatively new to the market...some more using the hinoki from kiso... thats the question mark... it would have been a different story /simpler if bomb did have some one's endorsement from may be chen qi or wang liqin...that would have justified... |

I like this Bomb but NOT its price tag. I'd pick the 'well-established' Darker Speed 90 shkhnd over this "Qomolangma".

there r quite a few distinct darker lines there. I'm sure a perfectionist like Aeoliah would say this is NOT a perfect 1 ply kiso hinoki but I like everyth'n abt it, too bad they dun have a Anatomic handled 1 4 me..otherwise...nah it's just steep, steep n steep!
