yes there are people who do that
they are generally players who attack with either the backhand or forehand and defend using long pimples with the other

if you are planning on becomming a chopper defender then i recommend changing your blade toa  slower one life an allplay
Seen it all done it all lost the t-shirt

I use FL2 in BH on my Grubba Carbon with Bryce in FH

I used to use Stiga Optimum 7 with Tackiness C and FL2.

But you should use Grubba Carbon with Bryce and Feint Long II
It is a Allround/Offense/Defensive dream

I can control the chops so much better now and havent lost a match in 4 weeks now

A famous chopper called Ginois from greek uses a Off blade (Korbel CO) with Tackifire SP and Feint Long II.

But I think you assume that most Def blade are slow, but the truth is that lots of them are fast.

A DEF blade like Joo Se Hyuk and Defence II are not necessary slow. In fact, they are more powerful than lots of the OFF- blades out there. The only reason why they are called DEF is because many possible factors such as, oversize, willow wood for soft touch...etc, not always classified by power.

So in that bases, there are many choppers that has offensive capability.

The disadvantage toward faster blade mainly is on the control, tend to have lower dwelling time in most of them. Too much push also result in a more difficult time to control the chops.
