yup, I previosly used it on my Hurricane King. I don't seal HK, but every time I want to remove the rubber I use thinner to prevent it from splintering.

I'm assuming you're referring to paint thinner?

If so, you can buy some at any hardware store.

Haaah? water? water can't melt the glue. It can make the wood wet and destroy it.

How about simple cheap acetone (nail polish remover) ? Works like charm on my glue... just dip a Q-tip in it (or a wad of cotton if you need more of it) and apply to those ugly blobs of glue.

Use Goo Gone!
Wipe it on the surface and leave for a few minutes, then rub off.
Start sealing as per Chinese Specs!!!!!! Ahhhrrrrr.
Get that goop off your nice blade.

TZ suggested the use of hydrogen Peroxide for cleaning handles. I'll bet it would also remove stuff like glue on the blade surface.
