Hi Lachlan,
I don't know about shipping costs but if it a newgy you are after and you are based in Melbourne (Australia), have you tried the local distributor, they are based in Dandenong. Thats were I got mine a couple of years ago and it worked out cheaper than bringing it in from overseas. The Aust $ is high @ the moment so this might not still be the case.
Overwise Robert @ Affordable table tennis (also in Melbourne) has some similar robots you could consider.

ATP Manufacturing ( www.atpmanufacturing.com.au) distribute all newgy robots and accessories in Melbourne. They have a price list for all their products at this address.

the supermasterspin 11 robot similar to the newgy 2040 but has two wheels instead of one.very nice robot will run you aound $500 or less also with net.this is a very good deal.should be able to find this on ebay
