I can say I like Maze OFF, but it is a bit to slow

i second that--that IS a good blade.  i'd buy it from ya myself, but it's too heavy for me.  sorry...

but for those of you who can handle the weight (and the speed) i highly recommend it.  IMHO it feels like the violin/acoustic, but at a cheaper price.

Why are you looking at the acoustic if the maze is a little slow?

acoustic is the most overrated blade I have ever tried. And the handle is so tiny it might be a good blade for rich little children! Better try Petr Korbel or Avalox P700!

P700 is a bit too fast and hard for a true looper. The loopers I play with prefer 5-ply blades with a flexier core, otherwise the dwell time is just too low. P700 is more for a smasher/driver.

Some blades that power loopers I know likethat areOFFratedinclude the MMaze, the TBS, and theKLS.

Yea, I know a lot of people who like Butterfly.

But more use 5-plies for looping: Avalox BT550 and P500and Stiga OC and AR.

yeah, but you probably have big hands!!

whether a handle is too big or too small depends 100% on the size of the player's hands.

that said, i DO think the acoustic & violin are overrated.

the dynamix 17 and stiga's clipper (and clipper oversize) have a similar feel, though the dynamix is closer and they all are cheaper.

Overrated if u treated it as an OFFENSIVE + blade.
It's most definitely OVERPRICED! But can't deny that it has that "Look at me" kinda look/appearance. The "raw-ness", "workmanship" and its "simplicity" just turns some ppl including me ON!

Tiehwen, do you need a cigarette and a cold shower now?

lol.

As a guitar player, I do find the craftsmanship of the Violin/Acoustic/Violincello series very impressive.

HS Cryzer.  Good weight.  Soft feel.  Large, comfortable handle.  Great with offensive inverted rubbers.

With Torpedo Soft 2.0, unglued... and it would like to keep the rubbers I'm using now.

Maybe the combination isn't good, I like the feeling of the Maze, but sometimes it doesn't give the speed I would like to have.

Exactly what I was thinking!  If the Maze is too slow you should really look for different rubbers rather than a different blade.  The blade speed being too slow shouldn't be a real issue.

But it did not know anything about the acoustic, that's why I asked the question here ...

The speed doesn't come of the rubbers, the blade is the most important for that .
