Hi guys,

what do you think of Almana Sound,

i was playing in british league this weekend and i played someone who used this rubber both sides and i had a few probs against him, big forehand lots of spin,

what do you guys think of this in terms of spin, speed and control?

Is it only the almana sound tech energy that has inbuild glue effect, or does almana sound also has that effect?

How does the synergy tech compare to glued almana (sound)?  How is this rubber for service?

how durable is the rubber though? I m used to the durability of Sriver EL, Sriver L and so on, does Almana Sound usually last as long as those?
Thanks

I'm just curious as you guys keep mentioning that this rubber is very spinny...is it because you guys use a different technique to me? I personally loop more like a Chinese but focus alot more on spin than speed.

When I tested this rubber I thought it was really hard to get some decent spin. For comparison, I'd say the Tango Extrem is very spinny, and JO GOLD is the minimum amount of spin I can live with.

sorry ice...but i think almana is a pretty spinless rubber on serves and pushes. the topsheet is one of the slickest there is, slicker then bryce. I've had almana, almana sound, and recently tried a almana sound ST, and they all have stick topsheets. for when you are looping they for sure have good spin, yet i dont think it is as fast as bryce.

my practice partner had almana sound on his f/hand yesterday, his serves were the spinniest i have faced for some time, ditto with his power loops, tremendous kick and spin although this was a new sheet(black)maybe the grip wears off quickly with this rubber?

if you aren't gluing (or hell, if you glue lightly) 11 weeks certainly isn't too long. if you're changing more often then that you're either:

A) on a pro-tour training regimen

B) wasting a ****-ton of money
