I beileve that Ma lin himself doesn't use carbon?  Maybe he used to use it shortly and return to all woods?  Can anyone verify this?  I would believe that the new YSK Ma lin blades are made to match what he actually using now (at least the darker top ply wood)?

I can't really think of any Cpen player who actually use carbon blade.

Anyway, what would be a good Cpen blade for RPB in Off-Off+ range, preferably light?

I also have a list in mind, please comment.
-Lunlox5C
-SeptearC
-Avalox series?
-Juic Fiber shot

Thank you for your time, all inputs are greatly appreciated.

Ma Lin used YCA after YE, then after about a year, he went to what he's using right now:  the originator of YE2, Allround 40, YEO.  Kan Yo of Japan uses a blade with glass fiber layers, and as i've mentioned, Ma Lin used a carbon blade.  Ma Lin Carbon is a great blade, however it might be a bit heavy for your likings, I like heavy setups, so I don't know if my opinion would reflect how you might experience.

i don't think there is much difference using carbon or wood for cpen rpb. however feel and control will be helpful since on is playing close to the table. composite cpens like photino etc will be great but very expensive.

all wood such as nittaku violin is great if you can afford it. also try the dhs hurricane wang hao or wang liqin.they are also kind of expensive.

I use YCA and do RPB. In fact I have 2. Have H3 on the fh and Sriver/Mark V on the bh. Works pretty well for me, but I have only the YE and the DHS WH to compare with, which both I thought was a bit slow and too much work.

Thank you guys.  I am quite new at Cpen choice, so few more questions please.
So, I guess it safe to say that Ma Lin Carbon is not uncontrollable for RBP (like I was worried).

Photino, Violin and Hurricane Hao would be a bit too pricy for me.  What would be a good choice for Cpen under say $65?  Darker 7P-2A Cpen would cost about the same, anyone tried that?

But if you think Ma Lin Carbon is definitely out perform those in long run, so Ma Lin it is.

Take a look at Stiga OC CR or no CR, it is reasonably priced and good.
