If you live in the US then Hobby Lobby, Michaels or any other crafts store. I would suggest Best-Test rubber cement. $8 for 250mL.

I understand that Elmer's or Best-Test are noticeably thicker than specialized TT glue like Tibhar Individual or Nittaku Dine?
Perhaps they need to be thinned out with smth? |

No, water won't mix with glue. It has to be some mild solvent. |

the stores usually sell a thinner next to the rubber cement. I lightly varnish my blades so that the plys don't tear off.

I might have goofed on this but it is my very firm suspicion that oil-based chemicals (glues, for instance) and water do not mix... ever spilled some gasoline into a bucket of water or a puddle?

Yeah... this sounds like a good plan. Or perhaps, one should mix some PO with Elmer's and get smth like a glue-tuner...? |

Seems that the more proper combination would be to prime the sponge first with a very light layer of Elmer's and then use PO for tuning. |

Lets start the LAB again ......
 Boys lets go do some test with water based glue. Just please post your results (what you use and what you get).Question to some one that have water glue from TT store whatever brand.... mix those glue with water it is absorved???
