Can anyone please compare Optimum MP and Hammond X?   Which is faster and spinnier?  Thanks!  Smile

they are pretty similar the topsheet spin is not that great.(mp is slightly spinnier). But they're super spinny mechanical wise.

Thanks for the quick reply.  I see that Paddle Palace rates them both about the same speedwise but has the Hammond X rated with more spin. I loved the regular MP and regular Hammond.too.  Looking for a new setup so hoping for some inside info before I decide.

So true.....!   I wish I could find a rubber with that kind of speed but a with a little more spin.  I wonder if J.O. Gold would be in that category but I doubt it is as fast as either Optimum MP or Hammond X ?

From my use, I'd say Hammond X is spinnier especially for low speed shots, Optimum MP is a bit harder and faster. If you want something fast and spinny you could look at Nittaku Renanos, either hard or soft according to your preferences.

Thanks for the kind response.  Is Renanos made in Germany or Japan and has anyone else used it?
