Sorry, I did not mean that it should be a competition between here and there. After looking at the collections in "Picture of your Blades" here, I thought that I saw enough, but it turns out there are always someone with one or two blades more Is it OK (i.e. ethical) to link to other forum? Sorry for my ignorance. |

the forums support each other by linking reasonably to each other.
"reasonably" means each time you link you uncover something new.
I see no problem linking to that table tennis nut that we all instantly like.

tommy's too busy trying to hack the competitor's computer so you'll see knicks and dings all over thhe stairs, carpet and patio (he would not touch the blades).

Yes I was looking at that and thinking It would take some time to try them all out with one set of rubbers. But imagine trying all of them with all rubbers he has. 1000+ Combinations is just insane.

Well, obviously I could snap a photo of a rack of a couple hundred blades, but my personal collection is more like 20 or 30.

Does that simply mean you own them, or you have played with each one of them for at least 10 minutes? I can understand that people (especially you, Cole, since so many blades go thru your hands) try and play a lot of blades but, really, guys - if you have N blades that means that at least N-5 of them are not being used at all anymore. Perhaps you'd be willing to donate them to some deserving charity? Perhaps ITTF knows some village in Far East Asia where the starving kids need these blades to play their beloved game? Kidding aside - why don't just sell them at a discount and this way many other people will have good blades? I mean it's not like they are hanging on the wall of your living room instead of De Kooning or Whistler's masterpiece? I have 11 blades right now (way too many) - two of them are played by my son, three of them - by me. The rest are intended for gifts (three) or for quick discounted sale (another three)... By the way, if there is someone out there who wants to give their used (but still in a decent condition) blades a second life, send a couple of them to me - I can take them on my summer trip, there is a friend of mine who runs small TT program in Very-Very Eastern Europe and he constantly asking people around if they have used blades for the kids under his tutelage. Alas, this is not going to be tax-deductible but who knows... you can make a small kid happy "just for 29c per day" () |
