Magna is more logical for FH and so is EL for BH. Magna has a tacky topsheet (not as much as say Hurricanes). Great rubber when glued. Fast, very very spinny, loud. Not glued; it's decent just as Sriver EL. Sriver has a grippy top and a bit slower.

I played with both of them. Very similar except that Magna is a bit tacky. After the tackiness is gone, they are almost the same. Sriver EL is more consistent from piece to piece. Magna is a bit more spinny and faster.

I think Magna is a bit harder and heavier...

My impressions:
- Magna is much faster
- About same soft (I've heard Magna is inconsistent but my sheets were identical)
- Magna is noticeably spinnier
- Magna has lower throw
- EL has more control
- Both were ~40g cut

Both are great rubbers I would recommend to a looper, especially for backhand of a med to hard blade.

My bad... I confused it with another rubber I had once. It is indeed lighter - I wouldn't say a lot but certainly lighter than EL.

its quite a light rubber because it uses that ACS sponge which is apparaently 10% lighter than conventional sponges, not quite sure though

Are the above comments for glued or not?
Astually in the process of looking for a replacement for BH Sriver EL for a looper. Not using glue and looking for improvement in spin and speed, hopefully also lighter rubber and not increase in price. Any other suggestions?

Magna will play well even unglued.
My comparison does not change when both are glued or both unglued, however IMHO gluing Sriver EL gives little bit more advantage than gluing Magna (so the difference becomes narrower if you glue them).

It depends on these:
1) speed glue (use or not);
2) blade speed and hardness;
3) sponge thickness

I played with EL and Magna in 1.9, 2.1 and MAX on different blades.
Also I use speed glue. Magna is OK without glue too - as many said.

In general I'd avoid MAX for both of them, Magna is still OK in MAX. EL/max is too soft/mushy regardless of blade. The thicker sponge - the softer it feels for both.

2.1/2.0 is best for them. Magna is better on dynamic blade with some vibration (Samsonov Alpha), EL is better on stiffer blades (Keyshot light).

By the way, FX could be even better choice than EL with (or without) glue on  relatively fast blade. EL is kind of "average" in all aspects...

Thanks everyone. Your inputs are greatly appreciated. I'm using El now, and want to try something faster and spinnier. It looks like Magna is the one that everybody recommended. Order is on the way. Thanks again.

Without the use of speed glue the Magna is mush better than the el,
it's slightly faster and is more spinnier,
el would be better too use on the bh,
lacks power without glue on the fh

I've played against a looper who is using Magna. Magna has good power while looping.

Is it that I'm lucky to get 3 sheets of Magna which lasts almost 8 months each? The first one I used on FH, the last two on BH. I also use speed glue.

that's impossible

I used my sheet for 3 months without glue. And in the 3th month it was DEAD! And I take good care of my rubbers.

the topsheet lasts a long time, thats if you take care of it.
Sponge dies faster the El, turns to mush, when glued
