Currently I have a Yasaka Extend on my BH and the Stiga Magna on the forehand, but it seems the Yasaka is actually a bit faster and spinier and it loops better. Should I just get Yasaka Xtend for both sides?

The reason I ask is because I don't se many people using Yasaka Xtend on the forehand. I was also thinking on going with Brice on the forehand.

BTW I don't glue and I'm a 2 wings looper (Avalox 550 blade)

Any opinions?
Thanks!

Both Magna and Xtend are good choices for use on the forehand.

I've used Xtend on a variety of blades successfully : Stiga Allround Wood, Michael Maze and Andro Carbo Aramid.

As your Avalox 555 is like the Stiga Allround, I would expect it to work on the forehand of your blade too.

Next time you play, switch the bat around and play with Xtend on the forehand and see how you go. That should give you your answer on whether it works for you on the 550.

Bryce would also be a good choice. I have no problem using both Xtend and Bryce on two of my bats.

it's ok to be used on forehand, but based on my experience the Xtend wears down really fast. be careful not to hit it on the sides of the table for the topsheet will rip easily Wink

Xtend doesnt last long, but I have had a good experience with the performance of Xtend HS. I like both though but maybe you can try Xtend HS on the fore and stay with regular on the back.

Why would you prefer the HS on the forehand?
Would the Xtend be to soft for the forehand?
