A couple of my friends asked me whether the blades with ZL material is more fragile than others because on the box it says 3 points.

First point being: "If you overpower on it, it might be broken."

I didn't believe them at first but yesterday I stopped by the tt store and saw an Amultart box and sure enough it says that on the box.

Now, I for one don't really believe that bty could manufactured blades that are so fragile that it could be broken just by playing hard. Hitting the table or objects are given, but really, just by playing hard it might be broken? I kind of doubt it.

But seeing the warning on the box is making me have second thoughts on this.

Shocked

Well I can tell you from 1st hand experience that the ZL carbon is definately more durable than A/C materials.

case in study:
TBS (A/C) vs MJ (ZL carbon)
both power looped to the edge of table due to misreading how short a ball is.

TBS has top ply and A/C ply completely wiped out (ie chunck missing)
MJ has large dent, with some fibers popping out only.

And if you're thinking I hit the table harder with the TBS, you probably dunno me in person. I go all in most shots...all or nothing! :P

Geko, have you got pictures of both?

I mean, I don't really care about this because I'm not playing with nor planning to play with the blades with ZL, but showing pictures to my friends would be easier for them to accept. Tongue

Thanks to seller, I received the blade along with a rubber.
I played about 20 minutes. This BTY Photino is great!!! I did not notice anything different from new(nearly) one.

My guess is manufactures are putting those warnings to make the blade look special or some sort.
